Yeah. All Shepards that I didn't romance Tali with ended up being best buddies. And since I never romanced Garrus either (I love him, just... in that male-bonding, about to blow some stuff up kinda way), she mostly ended up with him. Funny, if you remember how he used to pester her over Quarians losing their world to the Geth.
and she tell him she has a shotgun ? That is a priceless line....

It's funny to see how an extra-squishy Quarian (I mean, come on, physically she's about as vulnerable as a human, plus the whole enviro-suit you-rip-it-too-bad-you-die thing...) and what is essentially an apex predator can become a family of sorts. And how that same Quarian and a plate-hardened Spartan-race member can actually get together.

Besides, she's not really a racist. The whole "I distrust aliens, they be up to no good" thing comes from the General Williams and Shanxi fiasco. And she warms up to aliens, even considers Tali a little sister.
