It drives me nuts when people present BDSM as inherently abusive with the doms being psychos and the subs being victims. Anyone in the lifestyle knows that it's the sub who really runs the show, not the dom.

Since I'm into comics the line looked familiar - and no wonder - the comic is drawn by non other than Stjepan Šejić - the best graphic artist in the history of Witchblade (which is one of my favorite comics if not the favorite one)

I would agree.
I think that she'd likely adapt to some extent to the wishes of her partner if they were more invested in a particular role, but she wouldn't want to permanently stay in that role.
I'd also disagree somewhat that the sub runs things; I'd say it's based on mutual consent and it's just that the sub can stop things if they get out of hand.
