I read her outfit as "worked somewhere good enough that she could afford/got given good armor, but hasn't had the money to buy new armor/keep it repaired". Sort of like maybe she was in with a really good mercenary group once but has fallen out with them or something.

Ewok X-wing pilots are a rare breed.
Morrigan has a freaking Cindy Crawford mole now for some odd reason.
I just assumed it was a stuck-on beauty spot, fashionable in Orlais in the same way such things were apparently fashionable in England & France in the 18th century (if you watch Scarlet Pimpernel films).
Above all that, I think she just looks too clean.
Considering Elves are supposed to be downtrodden, it's a Medieval society, and her being a Rogueish thief, she looks way too posh and well-kept to realistically fit her role. Goes back to my point a few pages ago. She looks like the product of a DA:O beautification mod. Overall unprofessional-looking and stands out too much, in a bad way, to the environment.
One assumes that after taking up her new role in the Inquisition she bathes more often, to achieve a slightly different professional look from previously. And to wash off all that blood splatter from the endless random encounter battles!
Sera is kind of what I imagine a female version of Joffrey Baratheon would look like.
Awesome artwork. Oooh, her bow has a little inquisition symbol on it. I think it clashes a bit with the other colours but it's still adorable.

Sera- Sera is young, frenetic, and a brat through and through. She revels in the athleticism of being an elf, of being different. But her culture isn't elven, or for that matter strictly human. It's the underbelly of the city in her network of rogues; what you do it more important than where you're from, and friends open more doors than titles. Robs from the rich to keep for herself
She's young and likes to be different, it sounds like she intentionally tries to stand out from the "normals." When I was younger and less mature I wore thick eyeliner and piercings because I thought it made me different too (btw, growing up is the best ). So if her character design makes her stand out from the regular crowd of Thedosians, then I think they're visually telling her story quite well.
Edit: And with her dark eyeliner, "I don't care" hair, tattered clothes and bad ass boots, she's obviously into Thedas' version of grunge music

I don't think you really understand what that means. A Mary Sue is supposed to be a 'perfect' character, smarter than everyone else, more talented, rebellious, but only when her superiors are idiots. Young and Bratty is kind of the opposite of Mary Sue. Stealing from the Rich and giving... to herself is also no-where near Mary Sue.
