I think Josie is beautiful but she just doesn't seem to be what I was looking for in this game and I think it goes back to the 'Cass Effect' for me. Sera is way different also but I love the fun reckless attitude, whereas I just haven't been able to get adjusted to the sweetness of Josie. I will romance her on my second game though because I could be surprised.

 

I may not be able to romance Cass as a woman *tear* but I can at least create a warrior woman like Cass for Sera, behind ever cloud eh.

Rogues are my fav class and I struggled with that decision to switch up for a bit, all my fav Wardens and Hawkes were rogues. But for DAI and to have Sera as a perma pick for me switching to a warrior was the best choice and I don't enjoy playing mages much so warrior was the only option.

 

Same deal here, don't enjoy warriors much, so mage was the only option, haha.   Also, my choice hugely depended on if the mages have these weird movements during combat like they had in DA2 because those looked so over the top and ridiculous. They were turning around a lot while casting regular spells in combat and doing a lot of "actiony" moves that seemed so unnecessary. So I went to YouTube and checked that gameplay vid again with the female qunari mage. Turns out they don't twitch around anymore!   So at that point I was sure that I was gonna go with a mage!

I've always been under the impression that GAME is the only major video game retailer in the UK and Ireland, but I had no idea if that was really the case since I never had a reason to look into it.

See what I loved about Lels was there was this gritty quality to her, like she can be sweet and adorable when she wanted to be but underneath it she had this uber attractive steel quality. Loved that.

This is it exactly. If she's too syrupy...that makes me feel like she doesn't have a backbone. Leli would tell my warden about themselves real quick but kiss them passionately later...that's more my speed IRL. eh...I guess we'll see cause if we talk about it more, it might attract the wrong type of attention. blind defense.

Will you guys just check out Josie's romance later on YouTube or are you gonna try it out for yourselves anyway? I usually check out all the romances on YT after I've made my first pick and completed the game, just so I know what else there is.   Also, I really don't want to be stuck with a romance for the rest of my second (or third, etc.) playthrough that I'm really not that into... And I don't want to reload some ancient save either. I'm too lazy.   I'm pretty sure that Sera's romance is gonna be thoroughly enjoyable and awesome though.

I do still plan to romance Josie...provided those things my instinct keeps telling me is legit aren't legit. As I said, I'm just waiting the 3 weeks as patiently as I can for the game's release. That's the fairest thing I can do because she DID capture my attention.

I'll definitely romance her, I tend to not look at the romances on YouTube. I will probably only ever see two of the eight romance which is fine with me.

I have only saw that syrupy-ness released for Josie...which is funny because i was falling back before i ever saw that. idk of any other romance scenes for other companions that have been released.

Welp as for me YT romance arcs have saved me alot of hassle/time in the past, so I'm all for doing this again if I'm curious about certain characters. Never ever gonna romance all the options I have available to me like srsly I don't have the time/desire to do this ever. I play for fun not achievements, don't need to try out all the fruits in this basket.

The spoiler on her topic about the romance just turn me off so much, my first character is gonna to be a surface dwarve, a criminal for most part and I just really do not see her with Josephine. Funny that, initially I had no interest on Sera for my first character because of her design but now, it is probably gonna to be my first choice.

Yeah, and you might also know that an Anti-Mat is 25-30KG worth of the weapon + sniper scope and ammunition.

You're carrying that ON TOP of your standart, 20KG-ish full combat gear. (Counting all the kevlar, ammunition, medical supplies, MREs, water... you know the drill)

 

Adaar Master Race of Broken Backs. Unless you're, you know, what you might call a "Generic US Marine DudeBro #457". Even then, good luck without an exo-suit, which are not common at all.

 

(The funniest bit is, troops can carry up to 50KG of equipment on long-term foot patrols, not counting the Anti-Mat. Even if it's a metric f*ckton of firepower, you're NOT going to have that every time. I'd rather stick with the M24 SWS or the M110 SASS. Or something .300 WinMag...)
