I thought the west of France and central Europe don't mix when it comes to timezones. Shows what I know!

Well from what I've heard (I still not had the chance to visit Czech Rep') it's quite a beautiful country and you have some of the best beers in Europe. And yes Western France and Czech Rep' are in the same time zone.

You mean well and I know this because I've dialogued with you on multiple occasions. But telling me how I should react to something is not it. And that is all I have to say on the matter.

Well how you react is up to you, of course. I didn't mean to suggest otherwise and I certainly meant no offence. I can only tell you that for me, I find that getting annoyed with people who don't like what I like when they meant me no harm isn't a productive use of my energy. Of course as a straight white man I'm about as privileged as it's possible to be culturally, so I guess it's easy for me to be magnanimous.

Not so new France use Central European time since 1940. But I agree with you, it would have been more realistic that France use the same timezone as the UK and other western countries.

Time zones can vary quite a lot. The best example is Iceland, they are in GMT like Britian and South Africa, but they overlap almost 4 timezones to the west.
