It's also a point that I have no intention of using Cole at all and I'm going to keep Varric with Bianca, so Sera gets the daggers.

I do apologize for any confusion, but I had been meaning to change the thread title for awhile. Her name has been confirmed, after all. Seems silly to leave the "Blonde Elf Girl" part in it. ![]()

Am I the only one who is really digging Sera's choppy hairstyle? It says volumes about her character. I'm thinking she may be a divergence from the traditional overtly-flirtatious rogue companion. I'm looking forward to meeting her in game, at any rate.

I think she is going to fun. It'll be nice to see what her character brings. She is so far the my favorite elf companion in the game. Hope I am right.

If the "Cole" character is actually Cole, I'm going to find a way to kill him every time. Although, the whole concept of "Your companions are leaders" would not make Cole make a whole lot of sense, unless they really changed something about him, since he leads nothing and has no leadership skill.
Maybe the Inquisitor doesn't really try to get Cole to join, she just keeps forgetting he's there in the first place >.>

Did the devs actually say we can dismiss our companions if we want to?
People mention that but I cant find the source.

Well, in past games we've been able to get rid of most companions in some way if we wanted.
I believe in Origins the only companion you can't get rid of is Alistair/Loghain. II was a bit more restrictive- I think you're stuck with Avelline, Varric, Merril and Anders no matter what. And you can kill Anders eventually, at least.

Aveline and Merrill are also killable. The only character who lives no matter what is Varric, which makes sense since he is telling the story to Cassandra years later.

So Cole is like Sir. Pounce Alot. He shows up once but is there forever.

Merrill if you side with the Templars you can choose to kill her, I assume the same's possible for Aveline if you side with the Mages and aren't a close friend with her.

Oops, Aveline just leaves, not dies.
Aveline leaves if you side with the Mages and you aren't close with her. Merrill joins the mages and attacks you if you side with the Templars and are not close with her.

Some of Sera's art reminds me of Pink circa 2002, in a very good way. For comparison (and it's large, so it's in spoiler tags):
Is it just me?
