Meh. Don't shoot me but I actually really don't mind that. 
In fact I actually like it. It's part of what differentiates console gaming to PC gaming, for me. I like both types but sometimes I'm in the mood for some good old fashioned button-mashing.

I believe they've said auto-attack can be toggled on or off, on both PC and console.
