BoWare just became petty. Yay.

I'm sure the BioWare worshipers are going to some to their gods defense and get all over my @**
I'm sure one argument is going to be they don't want spoilers. If you don't want spoilers, DON'T WATCH.
Another will most likely be... It's their game they can do what they want. Its the persons money they bought it they should be allowed to broadcast themselves playing it.

If only it was that simple. Its just a matter of time before some douche goes on some Mass Effect forum and spoils everything without a warning.

Who do you think BW cares more about at this point? A dim-witted person with a ME2 preorder that stumbles on to the spoiler enhanced channel? Or one guy's fame who already has a copy of the game?
BW is just looking out for its best interests. It's kinda dumb to be marketing the promo "That this game is so awesome, you guys won't beleive it until you see it!" when there's a copyrighted one being showcased on youtube at the exact same moment.

Mojojojoe is here complaining about Bioware? What's new?
And you are? My only other gripe was a VP doing interviews and saying the same thing again and again and again. So this is my second outing.
Those streams were helping pass the time and BW seemed to think they shouldn't be up and used copyright as a reason. I'm not to fond of that. I had an NIN music video I spent hours making and youtube took it down because the the fair use BS. Which is laughable as Trent Reznor is very opposed to the copyright laws as they stand, going so far as to tell people to illegaly download his stuff at concerts. Laws which as they stand make it techniacally illegal for you to even talk about what happened at the football game, and if you have your stereo up in your car and the windows down and people can hear it, your rebroadcasting it, also illegal.
Unless BW can prove that the copy of the game was illegal I see no just cause to have taken the streams down.

I am the Crawling Chaos, whether you know what I am is irrelevant.
Keep crying, the guy wasn't doing a "Let's Play" or anything, he was just streaming footage which doesn't apply under fair use. He needs permission from Bioware to just stream footage.

Perhaps I should eat you. Go back to the DA:O forums from whence you came.
About the commentary bit does it have to be audible? Because there was chat commentary by the streamer.

Looks like the Justin.tv streams are down, at least the one with the best quality. Gotta say thats a bit petty. Unless they can prove that the person streaming had a pirated copy and not a legitamate one from a store that broke street date I don't see BW as having a right to take that stuff down. Because if the person bought it I believe that streaming would be under fair use, something that the jerks at sony and warner music group don't get either.

Actually streaming full video game footage is illegal unless commentary is being included, which would fall under fair usage. So early or not BioWare are fully within their rights to knock it down.
No, it's not illegal. But you can be liable for a lotta money if you continue to distribure cipyrighted material after the owner tells you to stop.

They can protect their own license in whatever fashion they want, maybe you never read the EULA's but most of it is about their distribution of said license.
It's not like copyrights are anything new.

More will pop up. They can shut them down but more will appear, and some will be the same under a different name.
Dude, Bioware doesn't care if you put up their entire game from the brand name opening to the end credits. You just have to be legit and not just a streaming douche.
Go look up all of the 300 part "Let's Play" on youtube for Mass Effect, Dragon Age and every Bioware game ever made.

Also if ya don't like Bioware (who are awesome on numerous levels :innocent:) then don't **** about them on their forums as its like going to a Star Wars convention in a Star Trek uniform:blink:
Also all this thread will turn into is a hate thread with people slinging insults to each other so please just join in the community spirit and twidle your thumbs till the release date and talk about Tali romances and krogan poop vents
