Nah, I am only 17163.

Oh. In that case you came first, had a higher N7 rating than the second guy, and I'm going to assume that the third and forth guys had a lower one than the guy in second place. Since you didn't mention them.
Why are there no Revives Medals?
(Also hiding the names properly seems to require more skill than playing this game.)
But then the mission obviously could not have failed.
I would prefer not to hide any names. But for some reason it is part of this Forum standards, so I just did the bare minimum to keep those standards.
I didn't revive a single player. Nope. I am not keen to carry strangers on a game where everything is falling apart. It is not fun.
Also, I am below N7 20000. So it is ok to fail ![]()

I've only been outscored by people who have a higher N7 rating than me so there may be some credence in OPs theory.

My point is that the second guy had a pretty high N7 rank, was hosting and using the AIU. And his perfomance was terribly poor. Most BSNers draw their conclusions based on this kind of experiences, which up to this point I thought it was just BS to avoid promoting. I guess I was wrong.
I thought score didn't mean anything either
It shouldn't as much because of the messed up way the primer seems to get more points than the detonator. But it's just natural to feel good when you outscore squad mates, something I'm guilty of sometimes. It's the competitive side of people.I thought score didn't mean anything either
Listen to yourself, you're indoctrinated
As has been stated many, many, many times in this thread, high N7 players are (slightly) more likely to be good, but they're not good simply because of a pattern of lights displayed below their names. Correlation does not imply causation.
As you know, my N7 is an even 3000. Finn's is 2700. Surely a guy with 18,000 should have humiliated us?
Pint's is 2400. Lexis' is over 35k. The only reason I finished first is Pint sat an entire wave out while he made himself a drink.
I don't understand. Why would a player with a higher N7 want to humiliate the other people on the team?
Also, these games went well timewise and were successful.
Score means everything.
I never said he wanted to. Your logic of N7=Skill means it should have happened regardless of what he wanted to do. If you didn't have Cato vouching for you, I'd swear you're one of Kookie Krisp's alts.I don't understand. Why would a player with a higher N7 want to humiliate the other people on the team?

so at what point does n7 level mean that they are skilled?
N7 1+
There is no ceiling for N7 rank, so each level is of infinitely great value.

Well you implied it. I never said N7 is skill, but said N7 is equivalent to skill, which was then correctly pointed that I was misusing equivalency and meant to say was correlation, or if you like a guide. Do you believe the N7 rating to be meaningless?

Being serious for a moment the only way to tell if someone is a good player is to play matches with them
The rest of this BS is brain circle jerking
Very much so. My argument is that the N7 rating can be guide to indicate if they will be a good player or not. It's flawed in that people can keep it artificially low (by not promoting) or heighten it by paying for it or playing lower level difficulties for a long time. But from my own personal experience if I'm in a lobby full of high N7 ratings the match is almost certain to go well. Very rare not to be the case.
Also, is there something odd happening here where people are giving examples of where they played with a high N7 and they basically sucked. Why are you remembering that specifically? Do you remember the times where you played with a high N7 and they didn't suck?
I don't think that a high N7 rating that a player has means skill. An example of this is when I played a silver game with a very high N7 and he kept dying half the time, whether it was because he has not played ME3 in a while i don't know. An N7 120 can be just as good if not better than say an N7 30000
The seriousness that some people take N7 rating is ridiculous. like the ones on the top of the leaderboards.
N7 = scrubiness rating, that's what i see it as.
I didn't revive a single player. Nope. I am not keen to carry strangers on a game where everything is falling apart. It is not fun.
Not looking to pick a fight, honestly, but are you sure you wouldn't prefer to play a different game? I don't really understand your mindset, and am curious to know just what must have happened on Wave 6 to cause you to wipe?
Well you implied it.
so people are claiming that high n7 =/=skill. and try to support their claim using scores in matches, while score is meaningless.
does that mean n7 rank is the e-peen equivalent of the incendiary glitch?N7 1+

*My thoughts*
