I don't wanna abuse any level glitches, but I do want to be able to buy what I want.

Be a packrat. Pick up everything that's not nailed down, and sell it.
Make use of random encounters. You can just wander back and forth, and get some coin from the stuff you come across.

Well, in Lothering if you can make traps you can make quite a bit of profit off of allison

I found that early on..money felt rather hard to come by..but as you progress..money seems to just stop mattering, the gear you start picking up is better than most of the stuff you can buy...so just tough it out. It gets easier as far as money goes.

Doing the 'board quests' (chanter's board and merc chests) seems to be the fastest way to make money if you don't exort it out of the people you rescue and stuff.

Does anyone know where the 5 Denerim couriers are located?

I'm all the way up to 135 now, of course I just finished the last of the main sub-quests before the Landsmeet. And 135 won't even buy 1 of the 10 or so items I'd like to buy!!
Money is a BIG problem in this game - there are lots of very powerful items for sale and no where near enough money made to buy more than 1 or 2 of them.
I don't like the merchant profit margins, ratio of their sell to buy prices is ~ 5 or 6
Not a happy camper!

The easiest and fastest way to earn a LOT of gold is to have high coercion and do the Sorek quest.

Denerim market is a good place to earn gold doing sidequests.. you can go there and start those at any point in the game.. at first I was really worried about gold too.. but by around level 15 you start getting a lot...You also just find better and better equipment. I'm level 22 and just finished the landmeet.. the game says I've spent.. 586,96,60.. and the most I've had at once is 457,3,90 So as you can see the game has plenty of money ..You just feel really poor in the beginning.

Always ask for a reward after doing quests, if the option is there.

Just checked the last game save before going to the landsmeet of my first playthrough and I had spent 379 gold with 88 still in-pocket, and that's without having a character to pick locks or steal. Just pick up everything you can and vendor it.

It's very important to invest in backpacks so you have room to pick up all that vendor trash.

With that in mind, try not to waste cash on stuff unless you absolutely need it. Never buy any plain weapons or armor, the only ones worth buying are the super-expensive ones you're talking about.

Pickpocket. (I feel duh is in order) Steal from every single person. (including enemies once you are maxed). BTW as a bonus in denerum youll get to fight several extra groups of guards (which can be picked, and looted after killed) while traveling between city hot spots.
BTW I assumed by wanting the fastest way possible to make money you didnt have qualms.

The only glitch I know of for cash is the Lothering one. Buy trap parts from the guy in the inn, make spring traps, pass them to the lady who wants them for 50 silver and 100 xp a pop. Unlimited cash and xp.

I completed the game on my second run through with gold maxing. This involves always picking the reward for gold, doing the most out of quests to get gold and stealing from EVERYONE.
In the end, I bought
- All backpacks
- All skill/talent tomes
- Only a few cheap recipes
- The expensive ring, amulet and belt from their shops.
- With the remaining money I had a toss up between Reapers Vestments and the superbow that Varathorn sells.
- I had not bought any potions though I bought the ingredients to make them.
So yeah, you won't be able to afford everything.

you get silver from pickpocketing based on player level, so if you wait until level 20 then pickpocket every npc in the game you should be ok. The fastest way to do this is with 2 characters as pickpocket. Also for a lot of conversations, ask for payment, otherwise you wont get gold.
I pickpocketed everyone before i talked to them, so that if teh npc leaves after talking, you dont lose the chance. Also, a lot of NPC's reset after an event, so you can pickpocket some npc's twice or 3 times. You can even pickpocket your own party members, it works in denerim estate

If you download the mod to reduce stealing time (1.5 sec or so) you can use one character to quickly work an area. I love that mod.
Also you don't need to pay for a trainer from that cheat site; just download the toolset for free and edit your saved games, or use the console (both PC solutions of course). I'm not fond of the money system either so I always give myself some starting cash. The human noble should at least have a bag of sovereigns to start with; not sure how you'd justify it for other races/origins.
