I am loving the work of an author I discovered by the name of MizDirected... she has a few shorter stories, but mostly she is writing novel length works of her awesome brand of FemShep.

Mass Effect - The Internal Machinations of Exploding Stars is finished and she is working on a second novel called Mass Effect - The Internal Machinations of Shooting Stars, but to be honest, my favorite is her alternative universe novel called Future Imperfect, in which Shepard did not let Nihlus run off on his own, so he survived and the entire story is playing out in a unique way... her Shepard in FI is awesome and often really funny.
Of her short stories, Mercy is awesome and if you want your heart broken, read The Earth Lies So Far Below and live through Anderson's final moments... ugh... so sad.
