So, who is feeling like they could play their very first inquisitor and very first round of DAI story so that they use no re-loading at all.

Meaning that you dont correct your "mistakes" that you make along the way including bad story-decisions, killing accidentally civilians, angering some of your companions (yes, even if you ruin your romance) etc etc. You stick with them no matter what and watch where your character goes if you guide him/her blindly with your guts alone (and not for example reading the da wiki. :P ).

Would it be fun to see do you manage to save the world in the way you desire if you do not give yourself second changes?

WHo is up for a challenge?

I am actually thinking about doing something like this. I wanna see how horrible my first playthrough is. No metagaming, no guides, no re-loading.. nothing.

I will definitely be doing this...... from a roleplaying perspective, it's also the best motive to really get to "understand" the character you're playing.

That's pretty much the way I play every game anyway.   I still generally save often though, at least until I know the game is stable.    Nothing I hate worse than crashes during a story RPG adventure.

This is what I usually do anyway; unless a misleading paraphrase made my character say something entirely different than what I intended. Then, I reload.

Whatever happens happens, is how I will treat my 1st playthrough

Unless I somehow get Varric perma-killed then I may be compelled to reload

Sure I'm down. My first playthrough is never my canon anyway.

This may be avoided now, by the fact that a little line pops up above the dialogue wheel, telling what your character is saying. Ah, I'm terrible at explaining. It's in the PAX gameplay video.

I tried something like that with Mass Effect 2....that didn't end to well for my crew...

Yep, pretty much what I usually do with my first character in an rpg; the first tends to always be the "screw up" save: quests and companions missed, zones not discovered, and so on.
On a first playthrough without guides, even if I tend to explore as much as possible I always seem to miss something, and I'm fine with that. After all, that's what multiple playthroughs are for. :)

That's usually how I play, at least, the first go 'round.  That way I know what mistakes to make and correct, next time, for aesthetics. O-)  And there will be many next times, I think. LOL

I was under the impression that was only for major story decisions.

What about if we die in combat and how spoiled must we be beforehand?

I don't really know, could be. I hope not, though=p

I usually do this for my first playthrough.

It's like the first child you have and **** up a lot.

So the second child is born and it's your prodigy.

For me that's a fun way to play the game, I only reload if i misread something, if the game doesn't portrait the action correctly or well...Death.

That is how I run my first play through, for pretty much every game.

I still save a lot (just like @navasha, have had enough bad luck with game crashes and the likes), THEN after I have completed everything, I will sometimes reload certain saves to see some of the differences....or to just play that scene over because I really liked it. ;)

I'm game, because I know I'm always going to have another round full of all my meta knowledge to create the situations and outcomes I desire. XD

It's also fun to see how badly I might screw up in the end, and there's something special about reading that epilogue after a fully blind game.
