Can we please have at least one pretty boy?

Alistair, Zevran, Anders, and Fenris were stunning. I get that there was little variety. But can DA fans not be completely denied access to at least one guy who fits the above sexy criteria? I don't judge those who are intrigued by dwarves or qunari, but I find it unfair that the two female companions (likely LI's) are gorgeous (and both human) but so far the revealed males don't fit the same standard of beauty.

There's a strange double standard out there that women must be beautiful but men can get away with being short, bald, missing an eye, etc. Also - this: http://jezebel.com/y...-dud-1501222536

 

Edit: "Pretty" can mean attractive - a hunk. Some beautiful male eyecandy. That sort of thing. Pretty does not mean that I'm looking for a male that looks like a woman. Examples of pretty boys: Aidan Turner, Tom Hiddleston, Hemsworth brothers.

Iron Bull is hot man, just look at those handlebars he has on his head. That would make some positions alot easier.

The men in Dragon Age: Inquisition seemed to be designed to appeal to those who enjoy big, muscular fellows or grizzled types.

 

Fans have asked to romance men like this for some time, so I think it's fair that they get the chance to do so.

We've had enough Boys in the previous games - it's about time Bioware gives us MEN! ; D

 

I wouldn't want a "pretty Boy" cause that would mean he'd take one of the MLI spots that the Warden or Iron Bull could be in, but that's just my own selfish opinion of course. ;)

Well, we haven't seen all the companions just yet, but I'm kind of leaning towards the OP's sentiments. But I would definitely state my case less bluntly and more politely, and wouldn't insult those companions who HAVE been released already ;)

 

There's a dichotomy between male and female characters here that's disturbing. My guess would be that most of the head artists are straight males.

Not yet. Which is why I don't want them in DA:I either. Or maybe one macho guy. Some normal ones. Then a pretty boy for those who want it.

Same here.  I remember finding Alistair bland and generic looking when I first saw him.  Now I forever angst that my Warden couldn't romance him.   :lol:   The only one who wowed me at first sight was Fenris, but I think that was like winning the lottery, haha.  It's funny reading topics about Solas complaining about him being plain and bald, when a common complaint about Fenris was about his hair and being too prettyboy, pff.  There's no pleasing people.

 

I say we wait and see what they're like.

Finding someone physically attractive is fine, but it shouldn't be the sole thing you judge them on to consider them attractive.

On the contrary, i found him repulsive, when i first saw his pictures. Then i went down that ladder in the alienage and - BOOM  :rolleyes:

To be honest his snow-white hair, super-tan skin, and lyrium markings, then his incredibly deep voice, made me laugh at him more than anything else. He felt like such a mismatched character to me.

Okay a MILLION times yes. Thus far we (possibly) have a skinny bald guy, a grey-skinned Arnold Schwarzenegger, a hairy dwarf, and a Grey Warden way past his prime.

 

Now there are definitely attractive qualities in each of those characters for some people... But pleaaaaase gimme some good old-fashioned eye candy!  :D

It's just something ugly people like to make a big deal out of.  You either are, or are not, attractive.  Fortunately, there's a good mix of both for everyone to enjoy.
