Fair enough; but let me put it this way; which one of those looks like they belong in a medieval fantasy setting?

If it's a fantasy setting - any.

Yep. Some scenarios fit a younger PC others fit an older PC.

Edit: My Inq is 25 tho. even if canon says differently *shoves fingers in ears lalalalalala*

Hawke: I'm 18. Really.

I find Dragon Age's lack of beard disturbing.

No.

Just no.

What? You think female milkshake is the only shake that matters, he can't have no shake?

Do we have a canon age for the DA2 cast?  I don't remember it off the top of my head, if I ever did...

If we really want to argue medieval fantasy setting the female LIs should have hair under their arms *along with other places (who really has time to shave on the road) and smell rank as ****. A few exceptions are expected. Besides in the DA setting plenty of males shave so it's not at all out of place.

IIRC a few of the ME LIs were older than Shepard, Miranda and Liara off the top of my head, tough Liara is a bit up for debate...

I didn't mind this at all. Older LIs can be just fine (plus one gets tired of the young virginal wide eyed you're the first one I ever wubbed types after a while). That doesn't mean i want Carth Syndrome either tho! Miranda was a breathe of fresh air. Had relationships, was mature, wasn't widowed and comparing you to her dead X, and such.

I find the lack of quality in Dragon Age beards disturbing

That said I prefer to rock it clean shaven or with stubble

Carver and Beth are 18-19 I think so Hawke can't be that age. Hawke's ~25 I think. (At the beginning of DA2). Legacy makes it clear Leandra was preggo when they went to Fereldan.

Yeah, Liara is kind of sneaking through on a technicality.  Also, is Miranda actually older than Shepard?

However, I get your point that ME had older LI's in general (Kaidan, Jacob, and Miranda all seemed to be in their 30's like Shepard).

Yeah, Miranda is two years older than him

This as well. I don't like the skin textures enough to go clean shaven so I do the mostly full face stubble except under the nose. Works well enough for me.

I was talking about looking young, regardless of age.

Again, it depends. Duncan to me looked more attractive than Alistair, and Alistair looked more attractive than Zev. Then Zev started speaking and the hell with everyone else, he became the most attractive :D

A small build gives the character a puny look, for good or ill. Some people might like it. Some people might not.

Thank you! Look at Cassandra and her little heart armor and her silly little neat perfect braid in her stylishly cropped pixie cut. Puh-LEASE! If Cass and Vivienne can be in a "medieval" setting (which DA is not; it is fantasy), then so can a clean-cut pretty boy!

My usual caveat: I'm for non-clean cut non-pretty boys, personally. BUT I still think one LI should be a traditionally attractive fella since all the women are traditionally attractive.

XD I think smelling badly would be an affront to the Qun. Good thing too. Imagine of horde of BO Qunari charging at you :X

Indeed. XD

Me too, the stubble is a bit more fitting than clean shaven, especially in DA.

Now in Skyrim... I rock the beards

Miranda's given age is 35, while Shepard is around 30. That being said it's been pointed out that Miranda's age has her predating the first recorded human biotics by a few years.

Given that they also list Zaeed as being 40, I'm willing to doubt the accuracy of ME ages, but I do think Miranda still works best in her early to mid thirties.

Yeah, I though that Hawke was in his/her early 20's in the beginning (maybe about 22 or 23) and about 30 at the end.  Anders, Isabela, Aveline, and Varric seemed a bit older and Carver, Bethany, Merrill, and Fenris seemed younger.

FFS DA is a medieval fantasy setting

There are fantasy stories that take place against all kinds of technological levels

I would like to at least know who the human male companions are. So far we got a dwarf, qunari and a elf...walked into a bar.

I gave my DA character messy eyebrows for this reason. Also, you never know what's under their armor

It also fits with their characterization as semi-islamic, they took up the Roman habit of bathing that died out in the West during the Plague.

The grey warden and another warrior who looks like Cullen. They haven't been confirmed though.

That too. They must actually look like beards and not glued-on props, and actually have a style that is longer than thick stubble but shorter than homeless man. There's been no in-between.

I like to look to Ezio when it comes to virtual beards.

I usually prefer to just keep it simple as well, shorter goatee.

Did have it long enough for a viking knot way back when, though. That was fun.
