How else can you judge a person's level of attractiveness?
Personality, for one. There could be a really physically attractive person but has such a repulsive personality that they become repulsive in response. Just like how a physically non-attractive person can have such an attractive personality that they become more attractive to you. Perceptions can change how you see things.

Bioware is biased towards male mages. Anders is the only male mage in three major games. It goes without saying that he was the only male mage LI as well.
This is why I'm hoping dramatic hands (dorian) + mustache is a mage and Li but I don't know... if they go 3 warrior 3 rogue and 3 mage then there is a significant chance that he is a male mage companion. Not sure about LI though 
I agree, and I'm not ashamed. =P I mean I do like what we've seen so far. If Warden is an LI, I'll romance him on a playthrough. Same with Iron Bull. And I'm sure I'll enjoy them both. Oh and Solas... well eh, I found Zevran hot but Fenris strange-looking. So that's a tossup. All the same I'd still like a nice handsome young man included as an option.
Admittedly another reason I'd like Cullen. He just fills so many voids. A templar, which I really want as a POV in the cast, a third warrior, and a nice clean-cut attractive male LI for those who are interested in that kind of thing.
Finding someone physically attractive is fine, but it shouldn't be the sole thing you judge them on to consider them attractive.

Maybe it's me, but physically fit and healthy women pretty much by definition seem to be conventionally attractive the vast majority of the time, unless they're horribly scarred or something.
The men in Dragon Age: Inquisition seemed to be designed to appeal to those who enjoy big, muscular fellows or grizzled types.
Fans have asked to romance men like this for some time, so I think it's fair that they get the chance to do so.

So I'm fully expecting Cullen to be the pretty boy LI. Yeah, yeah, he hasn't been announced yet, but I'm banking on it. I wouldn't be too worried, OP, because I suspect the LIs are going to be him and Solas, so it would be back to pretty boy and skinny elf.
As opposed to the OP, I actually like that we don't have a bunch of pretty boys as the companions. I'm thrilled that Iron Bull and the Grey Warden are companions. If I had my pick, those would be the LIs since it's about time we get those types of guys too.

Wait, what? I'm assuming that you mean DA: O, DA: A, and DA 2, but aren't counting the DLC, because then we also have Sketch and Finn. Also, Solas is confirmed as a male mage too.

You mean a few minutes that we play with them? They are just necessary spirit healers to help with game, nothing more. No thank you. You bet I didn't count them because they don't count. There is Wynne, Morrigan, Velanna, Merril, Bethany. And there is only Anders. I know Solas is male mage but I've been talking about so far until now. Its quite justified to have 2 male mages given this record.

I don't want the choices for my straight Dalish lady Quizzy possibly being hairy bear-man or IB. I don't think any are super-ugly, but they're just not what I find attractive. IB is too manly-looking, and Grey Warden Guy's too... hairy. I can't envision my skinny little lady with such big men. 
Gimme someone sexy, like Alistair, Cullen, Fenris, or Zevran.

Fair enough, but it would also be fair to point out that they have pretty much all been "pretty boys" up to this point. So it would be nice to see something different and this cast seems to have some nice options.
Again, I expect that it's going to be two pretty-boys, but at least Cullen is a nice middle ground. Not the prettiest of the pretty boys, but also not a skinny little elf either.

The head artist didn't change from the previous games, and the male LI in both seems to for what you (and others) want, so Indont think it's about them being straight.Well, we haven't seen all the companions just yet, but I'm kind of leaning towards the OP's sentiments. But I would definitely state my case less bluntly and more politely, and wouldn't insult those companions who HAVE been released already
There's a dichotomy between male and female characters here that's disturbing. My guess would be that most of the head artists are straight males.

Give him a nice haircut and I think he'd be really hot.
