He was a creepy character who threatened to make a Mage girl tranquil and rape her. That facial hair made him look the part.

Thrask has that same beard, albeit a different color, and Thrask was very sympathetic to mages and made to seem like a good guy. So IMO it isn't the beard.

Now if it Alrik just a giant mustache..... that might be a different story. lol

Nah it's Alrik's oily VA that made him fit the part more than anything. Thrask has a pretty average voice. Alrik just makes me feel dirty when he speaks.

To be fair to Fenris I don't think he has to shave being an elf and all. :D

Lucky bastard*hates shaving*

Ugh, Alrik. He was almost as creepy as Danarius.

They really tried to push the 'hey these dudes are really freakin' creepy' point with those two.

I challenge you to a dual good sir!

Bring it!

I'm curious as to how the "pretty boy" fans feel about this bearded individual.

I'm also a big fan of Vikings.

He looks great regardless, but I'm with Ryzaki that he looks better without the beard.  Though I think he'd look best with it just trimmed down a bit.

That's a lie.

What do we do to rogues who lie?

Still felt her arm was a wee ridiculous in that armor (still much better than Mhawke's roid rage arm had to get a mod to cover that monstrosity.) And being better than FemShep isn't much of a feat XD

Not that bad really, for a mage. Chicken legs tho.

Pretty boys can have goatees, my friend

Well, sure. But can they pull it off like Teddy Roosevelt pulls off a mustache?

They succeded. Also Danarius using the female walk animation creeps me out to this day.

@Em: :( I feel unclean.

@nad: Yeah that's a skinny arm to me. I guess for a mage it's acceptable but...ehhhh.

Thrask looks like he can go both ways. He's a nice guy but on the surface he looks creepy, I think. Also bald plus just the mustache equals Wade, right? That does aspire to femininity and Wade in no way, shape, or form is skinny, young looking, pretty, or dashing. He is, however, the one type of guy who emulates most Ferelden females in behavior. We all know why...

Speaking of female walk animation. Maybe he just wanted to be... loved? Tsk tsk, Fenris.

Ahh, someone mentioned Travis Fimmel!

You know, when I was young (22-ish) I really had a huge crush on him. He was so pretty and lovely and sculpted. Of course now I'm not into that kind of look.

But also, Travis has grown up since then. Man, his jaw REALLY filled out! It's uber-square. I do like the facial hair he sports now because it disguises his massive jaw. Now this is no slander against Mr. Fimmel; he's a beautiful man and I'm sure has hordes of fans who love dat jaw. But for me that beard covers it up in a very very necessary way.

He certainly has aged well, though.

Right, well, this was totally OT but, Travis Fimmel :rolleyes: Yum. Still not my type, and yet, yum!

Well, yes. A skinny build screams young to me, even if their face says otherwise. And I'm not even decrepit.

Young is good no?

It's.. something. It depends.

EDIT: beat me to it :D

It's a matter of personal preference, and whether it makes sense for the character. It doesn't make sense for a warrior. While strength isn't directly proportional to mass, it's heavily influenced by it. As for the attraction part, I like meat. Not squishy meat. Muscle and some fat. Maybe it has to do with my own build. Other people are attracted by other traits. Since nearly every LI has been skinny and hairless though, I would welcome the change.

Yep. Some scenarios fit a younger PC others fit an older PC.

Edit: My Inq is 25 tho. even if canon says differently *shoves fingers in ears lalalalalala*

Fair enough; but let me put it this way; which one of those looks like they belong in a medieval fantasy setting?

IIRC a few of the ME LIs were older than Shepard, Miranda and Liara off the top of my head, though Liara is a bit up for debate...

So, do you imply that bearded guys look like rapists? *snort*

I don't trust them - hiding their faces. >.>
