-The Inquisitor

The Dalish are having a great gathering in Halamshiral, during This Crisis..... Why?

The Wild Witch Morrigan, dispersed to Who-Knows-Whereafter the Warden's Witch Hunt, only to reappear during the Crisis. Why?

"The Legend", Her Mother, has had her hand in aiding The Heroes of the Dragon Age, during these last events. But yet, still, she slithers into darkness, her intentions unknown. Why?

The Champion, and the "Hero of Ferelden"..... Serving a world, only to abandon it when it needs them the most, slithering back into darkness. Why?

The Magus of Old, corrupted by his own his sin, released back into this world, to curse it all. Bound by blood and released again, unto where hath thou dispersed. To sow seeds of your own chaos? Again? Why?

Dreamer Feynriel. Or is it "Dream Stalker" now? Ancient talents coursed in the veins of that boy. Or did he became something else. Forsook what those who are his superiors, and the Champion hath taught him. For what reasons. Why?

Urthemiel. Reborn in the form of a child. What divine madness do you wish to unleash on Thedas this time? Is this all your undoing? After you made the denizens of Ferelden experience your Beauty, where art thou dwelling. As for the one who hides you, the gall she must posses, to try, and mother a dragon god.

Abomination even among your own kin. As to your own existence, I question. Why? As to your motives in this Crisis, I question a thousand fold. Why?

Sandal. Slayer of Hordes. Devourer of Fiends. In one word, you utter more meaning than the Chant of Light. No one could comprehend your motives in a thousand- no, ten thousand years. Truly you could end this nightmare should you will it. But to you, this is a test for us, lesser beings, to prove our worth...I am not worthy. But for all I could fathom this might all be for your amusement, your little game. Truly you of all people have the ability, the power, to sunder the entire Veil, and for all my might, I could not even hope to stop you. If this is your Divine will, I submit.

Okay.... I admit I don't get that. Maybe it's the exhaustion (since it's quite late here), but.....

 "Hero of Ferelden"

Was the veil tear a blight? No? Not their problem then.

As for the others, some are dead or don't exist in everyone's playthroughs so can't be used as the cause of the tears.

The Hero of Ferelden solved many things that were not killing dark-spawn, and has more experience and chance of surviving crazy things like this. He has contacted people relate to this Crisis

That still doesn't mean the Hero of Ferelden is obligated to get involved.

The grey warden would be obligated, their purpose is to serve Thedas if darkspawn are not their current biggest threat

No, their purpose is to fight Darkspawn and stop blights. They are in no way obligated to deal with any other type of threat. They can if they decide to, but they are not obligated to. If they were obligated to deal with other threats when not fighting darkspawn then the grey wardens with Stroud in DA2 during Act 2 would have helped stop the Qunari, but he pointed out very clearly that it's not their job and they try to remain neutral. Even against demons they don't have to do anything other than defend themselves if attacked.

I didn't do Witch Hunt so the last I heard Morrigan was on her way to Orlais, so no surprise to find her turning up there.

Flemeth is always turning up "conveniently" and left Hawke for some pressing appointment, so she may have had something to do with events, or at the very least knows who did.  No doubt she will turn up at an opportune moment and then get you to do something for her.

As for the Dalish, there are indications that some form of elven uprising was occurring both in Asunder and the upcoming book, the timescale for which would be in advance of the veil tears.   Halamshiral was the ancient capital of the Dales so it is hardly surprising they would gather in that place if they thought the time was right to recover their birth right.   Since Orlais is descending into civil war, and the Templars are off chasing mages, that would seem an extremely opportune moment to take back what was theirs, since there won't be anyone to oppose them.   I for one will back them all the way on that one, unless they start wholesale slaughter of innocents.

The Warden, if still alive, will be engaged on Warden matters or running Amaranthine.   No particular reason why they should get involved with mending tears in the veil unless it causes darkspawn to spew onto the surface again.   (Okay Lelianna hinted at some disappearance and that it was linked in some way to Hawke doing the same).   Hopefully we will find out what all that meant.

Corypheus is a good candidate for involvement.   He managed to penetrate the veil before.   May be he was attempting it again - some people never learn!

Only one of my Wardens did the Dark Ritual.   My canon warden did not.   So no reincarnate Urthemiel to worry about.

That just leaves Sandal.   With him it seems, anything is possible but I doubt he is responsible for the tears in the veil.   However, the latest events do seem connected to that odd little prophecy he made in DA2.   May be he make some further ones to help us!

The Dalish clans have those meetings every 10 years, so coincidence.

Morrigan has been rumored to be in Orlais for quite some time now.

Flemeth is Flemeth. No point trying to guess her motives or intentions since chances are we'll be wrong.

The Warden may have disappeared, but we don't know they aren't doing anything. They may be stopping this threat from a different angle.

Hawke is same as the Warden.

Corypheus could still be sealed in the prison, but if not then he is like Flemeth where they are beings so mysterious no point trying to guess.

Feynriel's path is too divergent to be anything important. He can be a Dream Stalker, a heroic Dreamer who saves maidens, or a Tranquil.

Like Feynriel, the Old God Baby's path is too divergent to be anything really important since he may not exist.

Abominations have always existed, so nothing special there.

I highly doubt Sandal is a deity.

Please let Dragon Age be it's own thing. I'm down with the Maruhkati Selective, Dragon Breaks, fusing Shezarr with Akatosh, and all that weird metaphysical stuff. But if the developers of DA are not going down that road don't force them by copying and diminishing another IP's hard work.

Thank you.

I blame the Tmplars! Clearly their murderous ways collapsed the Veil. Perhaps coupled with the use of Red Lyrium?
