Did BioWare ever say that the next Mass Effect is going to be on the 360 and PS3 as well as the next gen consoles/PC?

I'm trying to find info on that but I can't seem to find any, unless I'm just blind. Personally I'd rather they just stick to PS4/XbOne and PC.

You know I haven't heard anything either? There's so little info out at this point in general.

I think it'd make sense to start ignoring the older consoles from maybe 2015 onwards.

Was told it was being built for Xbone/PS4/PC with no cross generation compatibility in mind. And that would make sense. More and more devs are/will be moving away from cross generation due to the processing ceiling ball-and-chain supporting last generation platforms causes, and the strong market penetration of the new systems (along with sold software attachment rates) is all the more encouraging.

New Assassin's Creed, for example, isn't getting a typical cross generation port. Instead an entirely separate (though I assume reusing downgraded assets) game is being made for the 360/PS3 tier hardware.

Given Mass Effect 4 won't be out until at least Q3/Q4 2015, I seriously doubt the team is bothering with a last generation port, restricting their game in the process.

The only thing anyone knows is that there is actually a new Mass Effect  :D No details have been announced whatsoever. But, given the likely release date (2015/16) it's probably going to be next gen only.

This pretty much, most devs a beginning to phase into the next gen consoles.

Yeah Im glad everyone agrees. The only crossplatform titles released in 2015 and beyond are likely to be the massive military games (until max 2015) and sports games. It just doesnt make sense to tether your IP to the anchor that is last-gen past this year

I'm glad the game is a long ways off if this is true, since I'd probably not own a PS4 for a good while longer.

I expect it's very likely that the game won't be on PS3 and Xbox 360.

This is their chance to go crazy with next-gen hardware, they might as well take it.

I don't think it'll be on PS3 & Xbox 360 judging from when it's likely to be released. The shift to PS4 & Xbox One is starting and having a new start for the series and it being able to take advantage of what the PS4, Xbox One & PC can do makes sense.

Yep. In fact if they handicapped themselves to PS3/360 levels, which are essentially 2005 era PC specs, we'd be looking at the worst AAA story driven game on the market. Im glad they're ditching current gen. I dont have a PS4/XB1 but I will by late 2015/2016 for SURE
