Will our choice of king of Orzammar and teh fact that we may save or destroy the anvil affect Inquisition? Say, Bhelen is using an aggressive war and is taking back the Deep Roads, while Harrowmont gets Orzammar safe, and slowly expands outwards, or the dwarves are in more trouble since he dies of old age/poisoning and we have another succession crisis?

Thoughts?

Given that the golems provided a hundred years of peace and beat back the first Archdemon, I'd like to see the difficult choice of the Anvil be one that helps the dwarves, albeit at the sacrifice of those who give their lives to create the golems.

Given Bhelen's opposition to Branka making golems for people other than himself (in the Epilogue), maybe the Inquisitor can acquire golems for his Inquisition?

That would be cool.

Heck, it may be cool that Harrowmont may end up having more success with the golems than Bhelen? That would be an interesting reversal of our expectations.

Crestwood is supposedly close to Orzammar, and "Frostback Pass" is also a game area, I would be surprised if there isn't a passing reference at the very least.

I'm hoping that the choice of Dwarven King in Orzammar may alter anything with Kal Sharok.

That would be cool. Harrowmont is a huge traditionalist, so he'll probably share Enderin's thoughts on the matter. "Kal Sharok shall respect the rule of Orzammar, or they will rot and die alone, surrounded by enemies."

BUT, he was also Enderin's High General (his codex), so he likely has a lot more military experience than Bhelen, who seems more like a social progressive in Orzammar, and more willing to lay down the hammer of the crown, but I can see Harrowmont having more success in the deep roads with the golems than Bhelen because of his military experience.

Oooh, I so want to see how Harrowmont or Bhelen affect Inquisition!

I hope we see it, too. I see things being potentially different, though. I can see the warrior caste, the casteless recruits, and the golems getting back some of the lost thaigs under Bhelen's rule. Perhaps even mages, if an independent Circle formed in Orzammar due to Dagna's research.

If there's a power vacuum for the traffic of lyrium on the surface, I'm looking to get into the monopoly on the lyrium trade, now that the Chantry has been crippled. It's the Spice of Thedas. :)

As a side note, for those who sided with Bhelen, I hope we learn about Renvil Harrowmont, and what happened if he made it to Kal-Sharok - since he is the last of his House.

Both epilogues have Branka eventually falling out with Orzammar and keeping the Anvil for herself. So I can see that being given as a reason why he see or hear little of the Anvil of the Void or get much of an impact from it.

True, but I'm not holding my breath on those epilogues. I mean, DA2 kind of threw all of Anders' epilogues out.

Um you do know that it is Bhelen who was making Orzammar better and expending out, not Harrowmont, yes?

Epilogues also stated other things that never happened. Take them lightly.

like most things in DAO it depends on your perspective. Bhelen also potentially gets the dwarves into a war with the surface.

On topic, I would love to see an impact from the hammer of the void and decisions relating to the king, however, I don't know how much interaction we will have with Orzammar.  I don't expect us to actually visit Oz, especially if we do visit Kal-Sharok, but I could see us having a diplomatic relationship with Orzammar that affects the game and gives us an idea of how things are going in the dwarven lands.

We may or may not, but at the very least, I think it would be cool if we could at least see the consequences of our choices. Say the epilogue that has Bhelen in a war with the surface takes place, and that actually becomes one issue we as the Inquisitor have to resolve, but if Harrowmont is king we would have to deal with a completely different thing involving the dwarves, like lyrium trade.
