in numerous fanfiction Some have mention of a shepard Museum and that got me thinking, if they wanted some way to acknowledge all of the choices you made in the previous trilogy that would be the easiest way to do it.

so what would you think of a museum and what would you want to see in it?

No.

I want Shepard to be forgotten.  Disappeared into obscurity and never mentioned in-game.

Shepard wouldn't be the first war hero in humanity's history, and generally speaking we don't dedicate museums to war heroes. Does Rome have a museum dedicated to Horatius Cocles, for example?

A statue in a city square maybe, but a museum seems a bit much.

Pretty much this. A Reaper- war museeum maybe with honorary mention of Shepard.

^This, a statue of the N7 insignia would be nice.

No, but he (or she) would be the first human - or any other being - to save the entire galaxy, not to mention stop the reaper cycles tht had been going on for millions of years. I hardly think it is unreasonable to have a Shepard museum. At the very least they should have a major Shepard memorial out the front of a Reaper museum.

Forgetting Shepard in the next game would be like Bioware biting its own hand off. There should be references where appropriate. I don't want him to have any involvement in the next game but You can't just ignore his contribution to the MEU. There are references to the First Contact War, the Rachni War and the Krogan Rebellions all throughout the trilogy so it makes sense to reference the Reaper War and, by association, Shep.

I don't want any references to the Reaper War either.  Or as few as possible.

I want as much of the past to stay buried as possible.

I have no problems with a Shepard museum (I do think it would be best if they don't show a face, that way they don't have to worry about face and gender). But the general Reaper War museum/memorial would probably fit better

I agree. I guess I could understand still being angry over the ME3 ending (which I think is kinda ridiculous seeing how it's been two years and we got Extended Cut and those who hated that got MEHEM. But that's another topic), but sticking their head in the sand is not the way forward. Those who forget their past are doomed to repeat it.

A massive statue on Palaven. Would only want to hear about it in a passing audio news clip though, no need to see it and establish a gender canon.

Of Garrus with his bronzed sniper with the plak saying "Garrus Vakarian the greatest calibrator in the galaxy." ^_^

A Vakarian-Shepard monument would be a nice touch.

OP this is very interesting. This idea I mean. It's one of the best large-scale proper nods to fans of the series. Import their saves somehow and show that yes, the things you did happened, Shepard was important, your choices are remembered

Cool :)

Museums generally have a larger focus than one person or object or subject though. You'd be more likely to see a Reaper War museum than a museum dedicated solely to Shepard.

Besides, what function would any museum regardless of subject matter serve in the game?

Perhaps the same purpose as the Asari temple in ME3? that was pretty much a museum anyway.

you don't go to a lot of museums do you? because yes, there are entire areas that are dedicated to a single individual and even entire museums.

I go to plenty of museums actually, and most aren't dedicated to single individuals.

In any case, I don't see reason for a museum to be in the game. I'm not sure what function it would serve.

I've seen plenty of museums and other things dedicated to single individuals who have made a difference and besides that you are forgetting that shepard did not do it alone, but had an entire team.

many significant presidents have their own museums, Joan of arc's house that she grew up in is still being maintained for almost 1000 years, give or take 100

............... Elvis?

Iakus meant "BW did".
I vote for the memorial, even if it means to canonise one of the ABC artistic endings.
These endins are all we got anyway.

Yeah a museum dedicated to one person is rather unrealistic, I could however see the Normandy become a museum though.

I would rather have an alliance training facility renamed something like... fort shepard, or some-such. and add a statue of shep to round it out.

I'm not saying there should definitely be a museum that you can wander around in. I just think the argument about museums generally not being dedicated to one individual is a bit irrelevant here. 'Generally' people don't save every sentient race in the galaxy from total annihilation. This instance is totally without precedent.

What I think could be included is at least some reference to an opening of, or event at, a Shepard museum or memorial at a news terminal or something. Snippets like this could do justice to Shepard's contribution to the MEU without ramming it down your throat.

It could also be feasible to pass by the facade of such a museum or memorial during a quest or in exploring a hub world, if done properly.
