if they make a mass effect sequel, would you like to see a shepard Museum?

I would rather have a museum dedicated to those that served directly alongside and under Shepard (or have this as a very large attraction in The Reaper War Museum). The different squad members could have their own sections in the museum. The Normandy SR-1 and SR-2 and their crews would also be featured. The last stop in the museum would be all about Shepard. A simple monument by itself could be far more feasible though. It would also be cool if you could visit the Shepard Memorial Flame on Torfan. Either way, we can most likely expect some form of acknowledgement for Shepard's deeds. Shepard was The Best of the Best.

I do think there would be a few shepard monuments around (besides the origin related ones). tuchanka & Rannoch... unless this was a kill everything possible without failing playthrough. earth, horizon & maybe even the citadel (big maybe there).

I like the idea of a Reaper War museum with a Shepard Memorial. That, or statues on various planets, Rannoch, Tuchanka, etc. etc.

I agree that a Reaper War museum is more likelly and maybe inside it a memorial to Shepard, the Normandy and it's crew.

From what I understand, the storyline is going to be running parallel to ME 1 and 2, so a Museum is kinda out of the question. I'd settle or an easter egg action figure somewhere.  That would be funnier. :)

maybe a monument on the citadel (if they include the citadel in the new mass effect) at the very least

Does 'from what I understand' actually = 'what I've guessed from minimal info'?

Because there's so far no strong indication from BW of what time period the game is taking place in, except maybe not a prequel to the trilogy.

Anyway, to OP, I'm not particularly interested in any monuments or whatever, but I wouldn't instantly write it off!

source?

Anyway, if it's like 20-50 years after the Reaper War I'd like to see some mention of Normandy and Shephard(codex entry would suffice). I'm not a big fan of moving a thousand years forward, it just seems too "alien" perspective to me.

If they do that, I would expect they have ALL crewmembers and squadmates included and not a selected few for some whatever reason.

No. I would prefer a fresh start with the next Mass Effect. Maybe a codex entry since Shepard and the Reaper War could become past events that we read about like the First Contact War and Genophage were in the trilogy. Not a whole museum though.

My position is this:

-If it's RIGHT after ME3, then even if the main story doesn't 'necessarily' (to use Mac's wording) relate to Shepard's story, there needs to be an optional connection to it, including involvement of all those characters.

-If it's in the years to decades after ME3, then even if the main story doesn't 'necessarily' related to Shep's story, there needs to at least be some clear references to it, even if there is otherwise no connection

-If it's in the centuries after ME3, then I just want callouts, and maybe some characters with some relation by themselves to the trilogy, but not widespread references to it

-If it's in the millenia after ME3, I'm not sure if I'll even be interested anyway

I would prefer option 1 or 2, depending on how they're told. I don't want the trilogy abandoned. At the same time, I'm VERY friendly (and was since 2012) to the idea of making a newer main storyline and leaving Shep's trilogy to be his trilogy overall.

An interesting idea, but I see something like a simple memorial, or a statue before a museum.

No.

I want Shepard to be forgotten.  Disappeared into obscurity and never mentioned in-game.

In-game, the MEU memorializes events that took place even over a thousand years ago, and Shepard saved the entire galaxy from extinction. To not have something to make reference to that event just to appease people who are thoroughly disappointed with the ending of the trilogy would be a mistake.

7 Statues: Quarian, Geth, Asari, Turian, Salarian, Human, Krogan.

The Human statue is Shepard.

Krogan statue could probably be Wrex

Geth statue could be Legion

... but totally depends on how the events are interrupted from Mass Effect 3 to Mass Effect: Next..

Each home world has the same set of statues but their particular race stands at the forefront (Quarian and Geth could be equally up front).

Just spit-balling

Shepard should be more like a legendary creature, a 9 feet tall messiah with superpowers. And every species claiming him to be one of them.

that actually makes sense, or maybe I've just been awake too long... I guess i'll find the answer to that tomorrow, or later today rather.

It seems some people aren't gonna be happy unless they get a cheese fest a la Citadel dlc.

the next Mass Effect should be in a very very distant future and Shepard would be used in a similar mythological legendary quackery yet ultimately factual tone as the Reapers were.

also a cult of Shepard would be a tacky idea so nothing like that either

Went by the name of Shepard. Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks. His eyes were like steel, cold, hard. Had a shock of hair. Red, like the fires of hell.

Shepard's sex was always impossible to determine.

Shepard wouldn't be the first war hero in humanity's history, and generally speaking we don't dedicate museums to war heroes. Does Rome have a museum dedicated to Horatius Cocles, for example?

A statue in a city square maybe, but a museum seems a bit much.

There is a Nelson museum, for example.

I don't think a big museum would make much sense, but a little one in Shepard's home town or some other place particularly connected to them, like Elysium, could fit.

Or, since I'm thinking about Nelson, they could have a dry docked Normandy-2 serving as a museum ship

Okay, even though I am opposed to a Shepard museum, a scenerio where Shepard's legend and Blasto's exploits got merged until the galaxy believes them to be the same being would be pretty funny  :D

i'd personally prefer not seeing anything to do with Shepard.
