I think it would make an interesting detour to the main game. But I also want the ability to destroy this museum, one artifact at a time.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Shepard museum. They built a Krogan statue because the Krogan stopped the rachni, so they're probably going to do more for Shepard given that he savde the entire galaxy from extinction.

It would be cool to have the Normandy be the museum itself, and you can wander about it.

Add a few video reenactments of famous moments from Shepard's campaign where they oversensationalize everything... as if Varric Tethras wrote & directed them.

I think a better way to reference Shepard, assuming a significant enough amount of time has passed for even High EMS Destroy Shep to be canonically dead, would be to have a ship named after him. Alliance carriers are named after famous humans (SSV Benjamin Davis, SSV Hawking, ect). Assuming the Citadel or Alliance news feeds return, why not have a story about the christening of a new carrier named the SSV Shepard? A fun way to have your choices matter could be for the story to alter depending on whether or not Shepard leaned more paragon or renegade. Lean paragon and the new ship answers directly to the Council and is an experimental venture with the Alliance, Turians, Asari, and Salarians all taking part in its construction, with its fighter wings and crew being multi-species. Lean renegade and its purely an Alliance ship with an all human crew.

On a side note, I wonder if the Alliance retained the old ritual of smashing a champagne bottle on the hull of a newly christened ship. I imagine a carrer would probably be constructed in space rather than in a planet-side shipyard, but still...I wonder if they'd propel a bottle of champagne against its hull with a mass accelerator or something.

I thought that you guys would love a certain piece of the fanfiction that inspired this ideal

The ancient krogan waved her off.  “No.  I’m good right here.  You just let me know when all this crap is done.  I think it’s time I took that vacation Bakara’s been nagging at me about.”

Happy to see her oldest friend more or less alright, Liara returned her attention to the ongoing battle.  The C-Sec officers were cautiously approaching Shepard’s wing of the museum.  “Mother.  There are replicas of the old heroes’ gear in each wing, are there not?”

Liara sighed softly in exasperation.  “Yes Elezzia.  But obviously not working ones.  What idiot would think that-”

A storm of gunfire from Shepard’s wing interrupted her, the officers scrambling to get away from the sudden barrage of bullets.  Liara turned a furiously incredulous look Wrex’s way.  From his prone position in the fountain he simply shrugged.  “What?  You said it had to look authentic.  You know how hard it was to fund another Locust SMG?  That Goto woman charged me enough to buy a small planet.”

I always assumed Shepard wasn't cannon?  If i did pick this up right, then how can you have a museum dedicated to him/her?

Nope. Not really. A museum with a small space for the events would be fine or a monument somewhere, but they can't even mention Shepard's whole name because it isn't canon. I personally think of Shepard as the one in the marketing, so default would work for me, but enrage others.

And I fear it would be somehow linked to the overzealous N7 fan service branding explosion gone awry. Seriously, anyone who paid any attention to what N7 was should find their immersion beaten dead by how it got merchandised and branded. I don't understand how BioWare made the N7 hoodie and then actually made it for the game and thought it was fitting to the concept at all.

Shepard never seemed to acknowledge any of the Shepard recognition stuff in ME2. She also ignored the PA announcements in ME3. Because of this, I'd say a museum (IMO) wouldn't be something she'd be interested in seeing or condoning.

But she did want some royalties from the vids.

Went by the name of Shepard. Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks. His eyes were like steel, cold, hard. Had a shock of hair. Red, like the fires of hell.

Shepard's sex was always impossible to determine.

It always makes me sad to see Simpsons references go unrecognized.

A ship name, I can handle. I'm more worried they will name an elite squad of intergalactic soldiers "The Shepherds." I see promotional recruitment posters littering every port, each with the tagline, "You Should Go!"
