Can I ask again though David, aside from Mass Effect, what other games do you enjoy and hold to a high standard?

I get this is the BioWare forums, but Mass Effect and Shepard is the frame of reference for absolutely every argument you have. It's a little odd.

Is there a person who can respond maturely to me saying I thought the writing in a game they liked was of mediocre quality and pointing out why?

They just did..... multiple times.

Probably Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3.  That's the only other games, other than Mass Effect - that he enjoys.

How exactly is putting your fingers in your ears and reposting the same thing over and over again acting mature? The only one acting immature here is you.

The problem is not your criticism. The problem is the scope of your criticism. You have only experienced one part of the story. YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE OTHER EPISODES. In terms of the other episodes, your opinion is invalid. The scope of your opinion only spans for one episode. That is the problem here.

I thought David was trying to convince me that he is Bob, for the last two pages.

I spent, like, 8 minutes on that damn response, man.

You tear me up inside.

Mmm. Maybe you should try doing it without childishly resorting to proclaiming how bad Mass Effect and Shepard are in order to upset me?

I can understand why David likes Fallout 3.

That bit at the end where you must sacrifice yourself for the good of the Wasteland is a touching moment. Even more touching because Fawkes (who is immune to the radiation) refuses to get in the chamber (thereby saving everyone) because IT IS YOUR DESTINY.

That was just so freaking heroic. I cried for my Lone Wanderer endlessly until Bethesda realised how contrived it was and released Broken Steel.

Thankfully, I didn't play it until Broken Steel was already released, so I never had that concern.

At least you admitted you're David.  Also, maybe you should try not to proclaim aspects of Lee or TWD as uncompelling, in a, you know, subjectively speaking matter.

Except I never bloody did that.

I said I think Lee is better than Shepard if we were comparing them, which you made clear that we were. I never once said the latter was bad, and if I was going to it certainly wouldn't be for the express purpose of provoking you.

In all honesty, Fallout 3 is a weird one. Taken in isolation as a stand-alone Post-Apoc Action RPG, it's aight. Simple dialog and somewhat hamfisted, but it's aight.

When taken into context as part of the Fallout franchise, it's a pretty terrible game. Not because the other Fallout games are some sort of holy grail, but because it unashamedly apes story elements from Fallout 1/2 while fundamentally misunderstanding the meaning and themes behind them, and of the setting.

Again with the very childish spiteing to upset up.

How good or bad Fallout 3, Mass Effect, and any other fiction I like is entirely irrelevant to the quality of the Walking Dead.

Who's "spiteing"?

Topic is overrated games, not "my opinions on Walking Dead are sacrosanct".

Fallout 3 IMO is an overrated game, so it fits the discussion just fine. Besides, I wasn't trying to relate it to TWD at all. I haven't played it, I literally have zero opinion on it.

Is there any other reason multiple people have decided to proclaim the games I like are garbage, which, as I just said, is entirely irrelevant to the topic ay hand?

Technically, you are doing the same thing.

How remarkably convenient that very negative criticism of Fallout 3 just so happens to show up right after I acknowledge it as a favorite of mine.
