Every game that has ever existed, and ever will exist is overrated.

ME1. I don't get why so many people treat it like the golden child of the trilogy, I really don't.

This.
Early in this thread someone said that stating something is overrated doesn't necessarily mean you didn't like it. I agree with that, and ME1 would fall into that category of overrated games for me.
It is one of my favorite games of all time, but I also think the two sequels were better games. ME1 also isn't the flawless piece of writing that some on the BSN claim it is, as it has perhaps the biggest plot hole in the series.
I was pretty shocked how mediocre I found the first episode of The Walking Dead, including the writing. Didn't bother playing the other episodes after that.
Not sure why it got the praise it did, unless things dramatically went up in quality in the future episodes. Judging from the fairly constant review scores, they didn't.
Frankly, the praise for the Walking Dead I've seen from a few of the BioWare writers makes me uneasy. I didn't see anything I want them to emulate.
TBH, I don't understand why people play something other than Call of Duty. Its best RPG!

Agreed, BioWare could learn a thing or two from Activision about having your choices actually matter.
Of course this may be biased; it *is* one of my all-time favorites. And I'm certainly beginning to see the onset of "hey guys, you know what'd be edgy? Let's bash Skyrim", which is essentially what happened to FFVII a very long time ago indeed.
Eh, people like me don't show up late to the party and buy Skyrim planning to hate it. I think it's dismissive to say that an uptick in Skyrim hate is "just because." I'd wager it's a matter of a different population of gamers playing the game at different time periods. The late adopters of Skyrim are probably those who aren't inherently interested in open-world games (or else they'd be early adopters). Accordingly you have a much bigger taste variance, and not all of those tastes will align with a game that focuses on quantitative writing over qualitative, and freedom over game mechanics or level design.
Edit: And I don't actually hate Skyrim. It was just okay. Same thing happened to me as happened in Oblivion: once the novelty of the open world and dragon fights wore off about 20 hours in I didn't find much that motivated me to continue. The combat wasn't fun and the story and characters were lacking.
Granted I enjoyed Skyrim much more than Oblivion, but I also had the advantage of playing Skyrim on PC as opposed to Oblivion on PS3.
Which plot hole is that?
Saren is a Spectre with indoctrinated Asari commandos in his service. Both would have full Presidium access, so he didn't need the Conduit to attack and overrun Citadel control. Also he attacks Eden Prime (ultimately exposing him as a traitor) to gain a Prothean beacon, when he already had one on Virmire.
Of course thats not something that head canon can't fix, but taken at face value it creates some problems with the story. In retrospect I wonder if Saren wasn't originally intended to be a Spectre, and that was something that tacked on in a late edit of the script. Saren not having Spectre status would explain at least why he needed the Conduit.

GTA 4 is overrated?
Hell yeah it is. Real talk. That's probably the worst game in the series. I'll throw my 2 cents in for GTA IV being the most overrated game I've ever played.

I mean I never heard that much praise from GTA 4, mostly the same criticism I have of the game

I loved GTA IV and hated GTA V.
Bioshock Infinite.
Bioshock games in general.

V can't be worst than the borefest that is IV. Hopefully I'll see for myself soon enough. IV was the worst way Rockstar could've followed up San Andreas, because it was a step back in almost every area.
GTA V is pretty boring at times.
There are a lot - a lot - of activities and missions that just have nothing rewarding about them. No perks or weapons or property or anything. No interesting characters or powerful moments. No fun gameplay. There's just no reason to do them.
Towing trucks for chump change. Yay.

Some of the Bioware writers have praised TWD and might use it as an influence? That's encouraging news.I was pretty shocked how mediocre I found the first episode of The Walking Dead, including the writing. Didn't bother playing the other episodes after that.

All of this has been overrated before, and all of this will be overrated again.

Let me get this straight. You played one episode of TWD, a episode that even TWD fans say is not the best out of five for season 1 and 2 episodes for season 2 and you are using that to determine that the whole series is crap?
Hello David, nice to see you're back.

Well, he might have gone to Eden Prime because he didn't want anyone *else* to have access to a beacon, even if he didn't need one for himself.
The other issue does require some rationalizing as to the nature and layout of Citadel security, I suppose. While I don't think Spectres could just march around with an army of geth or indoctrinated commandos behind them, it's less clear why he couldn't have the geth attack as planned while he himself hides out within the Citadel and waits for an opportunity to access that panel in the tower.

Not enough HEROISM.
Hey the TWD has a hero! His name is Kenny.
