Space Magic or they fell into a plot hole and ended up on the Normandy.

It might as well be. If a giant microphone can alter the Galaxy's genetic code through a green wave, then the Normandy might as well be able to beam the crew onto the ship somehow :P.

I stand corrected, then, there is a Kelly flashback. Does she appear in the EC slides, though? Any indication she survived the capture of the Citadel, or just the "all named characters survived" twitter-canon?

We don't know who survived the capture of the Citadel, one dev implied that everyone was screwed and then another came out and said that all plot relevant characters survived.

I have never seen her in any of the slides, at least in the destroy ending, and she was alive just before I attacked Chronos

What's curious about the flashbacks is you see Eve if she's dead, but you don't see one for Padok Wiks if he cures the genophage.

I've actually romanced Kelly both in ME2 and ME3, remained loyal to her in those games, and didn't get a slide of her.

Perhaps, it exists within a file for the game but isn't properly implemented?

1) Not calling out Ashley/Kaiden on their distrustful BS, Horizon or siding with Udina over you

2) Cutscene incompetence against Kai Leng

3) Apologizing to the asari councilor when she was the one who withheld important-need-to-know information for the past three years and gave Shepard grief about not having proof on the reapers

4) Turning himself in to Alliance officials and sits on his a$$ for 6 months knowing that the reapers are coming

5) Shepard's acceptance of the Starchild's BS logic and "solution" in 3/4 endings

Probably been said before, but I strongly disliked Shepard's derpness when he released Grunt from the tank.

Yes Shepard, please unleash the epitome of the Krogan race in a cramped environment that leaves you no room to maneuver or retreat. Great idea. :pinched:

I can imagine Miranda sarcastically asking over the speaker if they should start venting the hold.

I love that renegade dialogue when talking to her, Shepard gets a chance to joke about casually killing a few underlings

That's one of the options I choose every play through.

Even Paragon Shepard can be playful at the expense of a few redshirts (white/black shirts?).

There are several things that come to mind that Shepard does throughout the trilogy which bother me.

1. Shepard surrenders to political BS to sit uselessly in prison after ME2 despite the knowledge that the reapers are coming. Unlike Shepard, Liara and Garrus do everything in their power to prepare the galaxy for their arrival.

2. Shepard is indifferent to the Alliance in ME3 to the above mentioned political BS; especially regarding Hackett who asked for the Arrival favor and rewarded Shepard by tipping off the batarians about Shepard's involvement.

3. Shepard is fine with Miranda wanting to turn him/her into a Cerberus slave.

4. Shepard shows no ill will at all for Joker being an idiot at the beginning of ME2. Granted, Shepard was an idiot too for endangering himself/herself to tell Joker what he already knew but that's what heroes do.

5. Shepard shows no gratitude to Feron at all. He sacrificed himself to 2 years of torture for Liara and Shepard's corpse; neither of which he really knew. Yet he doesn't get so much as a "thank you."

6. A little one: Shepard orders the team to drop their weapons when Brooks is held hostage. Seriously, WTF?!

Which things in the series bother you most?

1. agree

2. agree

3. agree, although that's not my pet peeve. My Shepard tells her that he's not a puppet. I wouldn't have wanted to kill her or something.

4. agree. i would like to think my Shepard would have left him...but i have a bit of a soft spot for the moron.

5. Didn't happen in my canon.  But I don't think any Shepard with LOTSB as canon should have to thank feron considering everything s/he went through to save him.

6. agree. I knew she was sneaky long before then but BW just had to make Shepard gullible and unable to tell when someone is playing him even if it's a Shepard who grew up on the streets.

I'll add my own

7. The Temper tantrum over Thessia

8. Not romancing Kaidan as a man in ME1

9. Not telling Liara she couldn't come to Thessia

10. Hugging Liara longingly.

I didn't care for how much of the dialogue in ME2 skewed towards renegade/neutral. Paragon ME1 was the sort of approachable hero, but Paragon ME2 was kinda stiff and edged on pushy sometimes because the team was so focused on making ME2 "the dark act"  .

I actually thought ME1 paragon was insufferably self-righteous (he always was, but here moreso than in the sequels). For instance, the preaching hanar - Shepard walks up on this situation, and next thing you know: eyes closed, arms crossed, lecturing the C-Sec agent on the virtue of tolerance.

Ah, the ol' Hanar. I don't even remember how you get him to leave with Paragon. Shepard says something to him about how he could do better, if I recall. Anyway, I'm sure there are flaws in it, but I didn't feel like he was misaligned with the notion of trying to be Paragon. Even if that meant being a gratuitous or didactic mediator sometimes. I'm sure Ashley wasn't quite trying to be taught the benefits of not being racist, but she got that lecture anyway. The outcome was Shepard being a good guy there, though. Camp Counselor Commander Shepard

I just didn't find ME2 Paragon to be all that heroic. It felt more like being the HR Department with little room to act or you could choose Renegade being a bully with action movie success rates. They just really thought up some bold conversation-changers for Renegade and some really small interrupts for some of the Heroic options.

Okay, let's get this straight. The Councillor only finds out just before she tells Shepard.

"I've recieved information from my government."

Why does everyone miss that line of dialogue and blame Tevos/Irissa when they should be blaming the Matriarchs?

She's a representative of the governemnt, so she has to stand for their crimes as well. Regardless, Shep really shouldn't apologize, because the Asari brought this upon themselves.

That's great. I guess the quarians also brought it upon themselves when Gerrel charges head first into the Geth. At least I don't have to feel bad then...

Alright, I'll change my phrasing "the Asari goverment brought it upon their people and the rest of the galaxy". But it doesn't change the situation, Shep wasn't at fault for anything and didn't need to apologize. If the Asari government hadn't withheld this information, Thessia might never have been invaded...
