Think, Mass Effect 2. Samara's face mask thing, Grunt's helmet, giving the Turian Sentinel a TGI helmet, etc.
Would you welcome a helmet option?

I'd...rather not. More often than not, Bioware's helmet designs are downright atrocious. I never chose to wear them in any of the ME or Dragon Age games, just because they hurt to look at.
Now that I think about it, I'm not too sure about whether or not I'd like it with the other races factored in. I've always liked the turian helmets (probably for their simplicity)

I also would welcome using different armor models on characters. The nonsense of Adepts wearing bulky heavy plate armor was absurd ever since the med bay prologue of ME2....
The rebreather masks of squad members were never used in the "void of space", because the squad members were never sent on an open space walk. Not once.I think ME2 and think about how a loosely place oxygen mask protects you from THE VOID OF SPACE.
If there is sound in the environment, then there is some form of an atmosphere.
If they are walking on a surface, then the surface has enough mass (or a mass effect) to exert gravity.
The Collector Ship, Derelict Reaper, etc all meet those criteria.
Lastly, as evidenced in the prologue and epilogue, Mass Effect fields can readily contain/emulate atmospheric pressure in the void of space.

I would welcome a no helmet option, as well as some customization of the face.

Most of the technical limitations in ME3 MP were due to the low ram on both the 360 and PS3. I expect with the PS4 and Xbox One being the new bar, some degree of character customization may be possible. I wouldn't expect Shepard level face customization, but there would be no need to put a helmet on every human and make sure that helmet is entirely opaque. Id rather Bioware provide static presets for the faces instead of putting helmets on everyone.

Well, it would protect you kind of, but that tissue damage would be irreversible.

My human soldiers/engineers/infiltrators are getting a little rank under those helmets.

I would also love to see a helmetless option in multiplayer... I'm sure it's possible to mod your game to do that, no? (and since it doesn't affect actual gameplay at all and is instead PURELY aesthetic, it SHOULD be fine with Bioware. I think)

That would be just wierd I dont see the point in having no helmet i mean its multiplayer its not like a mmorpg where the charecter is you know something that you make to fit as an individual

I'd welcome it, as well as making them invisible, too. Just for the sake of having options. ME in general could use alot more customization elements.
My Turian Havoc looks freakin bad*** with his helmet. I always found the Turian helmet design really sleek, but I wouldn't mind showing off that fringe once in a while.
