That's blatantly false, it's taxes, mate. Taxes.

You're all gravely mistaken on this one. I can't confirm much else, but you're really going about this translation without the full picture. This is one conclusion I strongly advise not jumping to, but do as you will.

You know, it has been said death is the leading cause of mortality.  ;)

"Ahhhh murder by death, always peculiar."

Given that the Inquisition was melded with the Chantry up until recently, it's possible that the Inquisitor wasn't always in the Inquisition.  Didn't see many elves, dwarves, or qunari walking about the Chantry as sisters or brothers.  Okay, that one dwarf from DA:O that stood in the corner of Orzammar trying to spread the good news of the Maker.

Anyway, it could have been something the Inquisitor was conscripted into, like the Warden and the... Grey Wardens...  The fact that our backstories are left up to whatever race we choose does give us some inkling that maybe we didn't start out in the Inquisition.  I mean, I'm pretty sure that the logic would always be, "QUNARI IN THE CHANTRY!!!! KILL IT! NOW!"  That said, from the media shown/played/read, the Chantry, the Seekers, and the Templars are predominately human factions.  Even if they worshiped the Maker, it didn't seem other races were allowed to gain status within at least the Chantry and the Templars.  So not so farfetched that the Inquisitor doesn't start out in the Inquisition.

This role has just been played by the Arch-Demon's advocate.  All proceeds go to "The Song".

Now playing the Warden's Advocate:  No idea how much time passes between DA2 and Inquisition.  And I'm just talking logically.  Logic in a video game... What the?!

I don't think Dragon Age has participated in this tradition yet.

Best not to, I think.

Maybe it can hover over Iron Bull's ass XD

I wouldn't suggest trying.

The image that comes to mind with Inquisition is mass burning of witches...and irrationality in all its glory.

Being Spanish myself I just wonder if we may get to do some historical Inquisition type inquiring:

"We are going to throw you into the lake. Since water is pure, if you sink water is accepting and you'll go to heaven. If you float water is rejecting you, proving you are a witch and thus, you will burn at the stake."

(They could try to swim away, but that is away the inquisition brought archers in horses.)

Or do the Monty Python's version, that'd be awesome :D , specially if we actually got answers through it. "Not the comfy chair! I confess. I stole the cookies!"

Our character isn't "an inquisitor". He/she's "The Inquisitor".
