Posts like that will happen regardless of what happens

Yes but this is a clear Wildfire waiting to happen, it has all the right ingredients.

That one poster will multiply and Thats not Even considering What /v/ will do.

Awesome.

Then gaming magazines run with it and 4chan looks like a cesspit while BioWare pats itself on the back.

No one worth listening to will complain about not being able to romance a white woman.

Which is why bioware should just announce the orientations and get it over with, i doubt the forum would be able to handle all the chaos though.

It's hard when every discussion thread on every  site is  filled to the brim with that crap.

Sadly, yes, I can see the shitstorm.

I can almost see it.  And I would kind of like Bioware to do that.  While it would certainly make the internet explode, as long as Bioware is careful in how they respond, they would come out of it smelling like roses.  This might be a case where that taboo term from ME3 could actually work in their favor.  You know, the one about keeping integrity on artistic projects.

At the very least, the rage on the forums would be fun watch.

Can we move the discussion back to Cassandra? There is already an all-purpose romance threads to talk about romance for other characters.

After the last few reveals, I'm starting to "ship" Cassandra with almost everyone in the Inquisition. I already supported CassandraXVivienne, CassandraXVarric and CassandraXLeliana. Now, I have CassandraXBlackwall, CassandraXIronBull and CassandraXSera added to that list.

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !

Nor would the developers care about upsetting such a person. They're not making games for racists.

Absolutely correct. If someone wants to complain about not getting something they would have liked, they're free to do so. If, however, they do so in a racist or blatantly sexist or homophobic manner, they'll be shown the door. And if they honestly think they're fomenting some kind of mass revolution, they'll undoubtedly be disappointed to discover just how much in the minority they actually are.

As for the "rage" regarding people discovering that a character on whom they'd already pinned their romantic hopes suddenly isn't available to them (either by way of gender or race, which are both possibilities in DAI) -- them's the breaks. One can either deal with their disappointment in an in-game manner (nothing like actually interacting with a character rather than thinking about them solely  in the abstract), they can play as a different PC (if romancing that one character is the most important thing to their game), or they can come to the forums and complain about how them not getting that option in the game is somehow a violation of their rights or part of a larger socio-political conspiracy. It won't get them anywhere, but so long as they do it politely and are considerate of other posters, they are certainly free to vent their frustrations.

Yeah race restrictions on top of gender restrictions doesn't sound too fun. :(

Me that was trying to bring the thread back to be about Cassandra.

So I guess we can start to wonder if Cassandra is "race-locked".

Its....possible, I guess? Though, I would be very curious which races she wouldn't feel attracted too.

That's an interesting take on that but I've got to ask, will race restrictions even matter?

The ONLY two potential LI's I see race restrictions being placed on are Iron Bull and Varric.

Varric said before he's only into dwarven girls and Iron Bull would be pure size if anything else.

Mage!

Wait, that's not a race.

I see Cassandra attracted to actions and deeds more than someone appearance. Unlike someone like Vivienne, who is all about appearance.

But I suspect the "race-lock" is a side effect of needing custom animations for all the body types which is time-expensive to do. They had to cut somewhere...
