Why would a platonic friend want to ready smutty poetry to someone with candlelight? That sounds real suspect.

You mean you don't have hot, steamy sex with your platonic friends?

What a weirdo.

They totally should.

I know my inquisitor was BFF with cass, and would have loved to chat more about poetry.

Nah, it's a book club based on their mutual love for Swords & Shields.

Nah, it could be a literature club..where they can discuss things from swords and shields, and poetry books.

It would have been cool if Cass and Female Inquisitor had poetry in their friendship

But I can also see why it could take away from the romance since it was the highlight of the romance scene :P

Yeah, that's true but the romance angle would be like an intimate, discussion of poetry. Not just a friendly discussion. Like I'f I'm sitting across from my friend  talking about poetry, I wouldent serenade her with flowers and chocolates :/

I think it would have helped bring out a stronger contrast between friend and romance.  Which in turn would help give more character development to cass.

But yeah, as the romance seen currently is it would lessen the highlight. But just a few inquiring friendship  dialogues  would have been neat.

The thing that I find most obnoxious about the Bi Cass mod is the attitude of the SJW's who get all bitchy & defensive when people call out their hypocrisy

One post in particular hit all the common bullet points.

"I'm an under-represented minority so **** you & your criticism"

"It's not the same as making Dorian or Sera Bi, it's a different standard entirely. Check your Hetro privilege"

Proceeds to make a red herring of Mass effect to distract you from the fact that DA:I HAS EQUAL REPRESENTATION!

Saying that Making the only Female Hetro Li Bi is no big deal because hetro erasure does not exist.

Time for the tumblr check list

Victim complex= Check,

Double Standard= Check

Hypocrisy & Delusion= Check

Red Herring argument= Check

Complaining about Representation that they already have= Check

But it would be the same old story regardless of whoever the Hetro Li was. They would ****** just as much if it was Josie or Sera

To complain about a lack of representation in a game that has EQUAL REPRESENTATION is so mind-numbingly stupid.

First time back in the tread for over a month & my first post is ranting about Tumblr SJW hypocrisy, joy oh joy  <_<

But hey, they can enjoy their Mute inquisitor & Cassandra using male pronouns when addressing them in all the Romance scenes

Now If you will excuse me, I'm off to check my Hetro Cis White Male Privilege.

Honestly, I preferred DA2's solution to this, which avoided all of these problems.

Were characters bisexual or player-sexual in DA2???

I know Anders only mentioned his previous male lover only if you romance as a male Hawke and not a female Hawke

Another solution is to get rid of romances but Bioware would never do that and I don't want them to as I do enjoy the romance but it is side-content not main content to me and a way to create variation in multiple playthroughs and can add to the story overall if certain characters are romanced.

I tottalty get what you mean, well mostly.

But there is another thing. Cass is also the only straight female  friendship in the game.( I don't include Vivinne since its not very clear with her, and because she is an optional recruit.) I hated the bi-mod for morrigan as well, for this reason.

<3 cass as she was originally written, and intended to be. The writer obviously spent a long time fleshing her out, and  that includes her being straight.  It sort of spits on all the hard work the writer did for her by making the bi-mod.

It's a tricky subject, but I think the reason I disagree with that mod, is because it disregards what Cass herself says. Had she not been so clear about not being interested in women, or had she been originally been written as a bisexual character romance like Cullen or Solas, well sure. It would have been restoring cut content. But this? Cass takes the Fem!Inquisitor apart for gently explaining her a romance between them will never happen, shouldn't people actually respect her word on the matter? Especially if they like the character.

And the "But representation is important!" card falls a bit short whith the Josephine and Sera romances. There is a huge difference between "We have the right to more representation", which is entirely true, and "I have the right to bang that character no matter what!".

The game has equal representation in the game for sexuality so the representation in the game is a moot point. I understand in the real-life society representation for other sexualities isn't high (high percentage of the human race are straight so that does factor in to why it is the case) and that sucks and I hope we see more representation in all media in the future. However in the game that isn't an issue everyone got the same amount of romances and 2 extra for females Inquisitors due to extra time.

Also this.

Cassandra straight-up tells you if you try to romance her as a woman, that she isn't sexually interested in women. The bi mod or lesbian mod just erases all of that.

But then I remember that according to those people, you can't be an a**hole to people who aren't in the minority.

No, they modded a game to accommodate their fantasies.

No. I, a 27 year old, modded a game file to test hex editing.

The only fantasy here was not messing up the ebx.

But let's just jump to conclusions, yes?

Oh, just keep a sense of humor about it and understand where you're posting. Pretty much everyone in this topic is very emotionally invested in their male Inquisitor with Cassandra (which is fine and just speaks to the super compelling characters Bioware makes.)

I post a lot in a Varric/Cass forum and these guys hate us too. Someone there posted about the bi Cassandra mod, we more or less collectively shrugged our shoulders and someone wondered what it would take to have a mod where Cass kisses Varric.

I don't think you're disgusting, but saying, "I did this to see if I could," is hardly a defense worth making. "I published this because I could," isn't either. Might as well have stayed anonymous. I mean I don't open the CK for Skyrim and jump to gender swop a character because I can. And if I did I wouldn't tell anyone.

Nothing says "I did this as a harmless little test" like condescending towards people who question something you made.

Also, like Br3ad said, "I did it to see if I could" is hardly a defense for much of anything.
