As for the rest, all you said was "devastation was a natural reaction to human stimuli". That makes it sound like something Warder would say... that all we feel is pain or some crap. Poorly worded statement was poorly worded.

There isn't a single part of that which implies "devastation is the only natural response to stimuli". You made that up. The bolded, italicized, and underlined part should be the obvious giveaway. That the only response you continue to say is "poorly worded is poorly worded" and don't actually correct me on how I should have worded it shows that it's on you for misunderstanding what I was saying. "Is a", not "is the only".

 

Assuming you're not illiterate or retarded, what I said should have been perfectly clear. I didn't use any creative wordplay or literary techniques, I meant, literally, what I said.

If I said pain is a natural reaction to human interaction, someone could easily imply I'm being melodramatic, because I just said human interaction.

 

In your example, you just said stimuli. Your sentence isn't specific enough, and when someone's telling you that you seem rather devastated, and this is all you say in response.... LOLOL, it's pretty easy to think you're being a bit of a negative nancy, Nancy.
