And this one, I like because it would totally be what my lavellan would be like. Just sitting there chilling while cass reads a book.

Yes I'am aware that the original post for this image was about romance blah blah blah. The image is not romantic in my opinion, and it reminded me of my inquisitors bff cass friendship. Because the friendship path is seriously under-represented, which sucks because I loved it.
Cassandra can kill dragons, so she is quite capable of riding a unicorn. She would totally deck it out in seeker themed armour.

Oh peeehlz, they are very good with character dynamics especially some of the writers.

So do you guys think we will get a replacement Warrior companion when Cassandra leaves & becomes the new Divine?
During the post campaign when you talk to her, you can select the option for her to "Never rejoin the party" or have her "Remain with the party... for a time"
Same with Vivi & Leli even discusses selecting a replacement spy master before she leaves.
Looks like Divine Victoria will cease to be a party member/ advisor when the expansion drops.
Will we get a temporary replacement or have to make due without?

Perhaps someone here can answer a question: is it necessary to be Andrastian in order to romance Cassandra? I don't usually play men, and I would play one only for her, but if I had to be Andrastian on top of it, that would probably be too much.

No you don't have to. She'll even comment on how you two can be together, even when sharing opposite faiths.
That's a relief. She's quite possibly the most interesting character in DAI because she has more facets than any other companion, and I'm curious about what a romance adds to her - and the Inquisitor's - story.
They've still been seeing each other every since and Varric seems fine with it
This. Varric knows he comes second to whatever it is keeping Bianca away from him. He still loves her though.
Hence, Cassandra and Varric could never, ever happen.

Cassandra would never be with Varric, or vice versa, regardless of Bianca being in the picture. This is just one harmless ship in a fleet of deluded fan theory. Nothing to comment on, really.
What's with this obsession with canon? Like, yeah, Varric/Cassandra isn't canon because Bianca/Varric is canon, but that doesn't mean people can't find their personalities interesting together and want to read about it in a "what-if" scenario.
And this doesn't make the pairing any less nonsensical and contradictory of both character's personalities.
That's what fanworks are for. You might as well not write any fanfic or draw any pictures at all, if you're dismissing a pairing just because it doesn't happen in the vanilla game.
This isn't at all why we're dismissing it. We're dismissing it because it has no merit and is explicitly denied by both characters in the game proper.
I don't ship Varric/Cassandra, but all that means is that I don't read fanfic of them. That simple. I don't get this ridiculous policing of the fan sphere, as if people are only allowed to create things that you personally approve of, as if the existence of a Varric/Cassandra fanfic is a genuine moral outrage instead of just a personal preference.
This is not even remotely close to what's actually happening, but by all means continue with the meaningless hyperbole and keep painting the people who dismiss the pairing as an anti-fan cabal.
And this is why I hate fan pairings, as a general rule. Some people like them, and that's okay. Some people dislike them, and that's okay. Some people feel the need to get really defensive of them when people dismiss them, which only makes the person getting defensive look like an a**hole.
Varric and Cassandra will never happen unless you break both of their respective characters, but at that point you may as well rename the characters and make it an original story.
I take it that's a date for the Inquisitor and Cassandra
Well, I believe there's an old saying for this.
"There's nothing sexier than going out and decapitating bears."
I mean, except maybe doin' it on the ground right in front of their wall-mounted severed heads.

To be honest, I've never found that spot myself. I need to explore the Emerald Graves more! ![]()
Because Cassandra knows she commands the attention and respect of everyone present.
It takes a woman of exceedingly high rank and sex appeal to strut like that.
to you it may never happen, but others think otherwise. And I really see no harm, in it. :/ Its all cool though some like it some don't.This. Varric knows he comes second to whatever it is keeping Bianca away from him. He still loves her though.

It shouldn't happen to anybody. It's explicitly denied and shot down in the game by the characters involved. Literally any continued prodding or imagining is senseless and deluded.
People shouldn't need to point out that it's harmless, nobody claimed it was.
