Agreed.  I mean not to sound like one of *those* people but Inquisition was cleaning up after a lot of Hawke's messes. :P  I don't know I just really want to see the Tevinter Imperium and think 'why not both?' in terms of DLC + totally brand new game?  After all, what I envision anyways, is to have that DLC sort of be a baton passing between Inquisition and the next Dragon Age game whether if it is set in the Tevinter Imeprium, the Anderfels, or both.

On Tevinter I agree, but I personally would scream in joy to see Par Vollen and Seheron and get more deeply into the Qunari issues. I am not sure they will give us a DLC big enough to do either (Qunari or Vints) justice though. Hence I rather assume something in an isolated location (as done for DA2) and see more of Tevinter in a new game.

I don't know what unfinished business you're referring to? I don't think Tevinter gives a flying **** about the Inquisition.. It's just more Southern Thedas based. And probably to Tevinter's eyes, an extension of the White Divine. True or not.

You are probably right but again the Inquisition would seem to have a lot they could do up North.  Remnants of the Venatori, helping Dorian start a rebellion.  Politics.  Intrigue.  Back stabbing.  Yey.  I mean really I want something for the next DA DLC to be very deep into politics and really have the Inquisition be an Inquisition and force them to look into things instead of doing great big things.

Most likely the Dread Wolf's fans are going to get the most attention, which is fine.

Depends on how many DLCs we'll get :P

Agreed. The codex in inquisition made me really curious about Par Vollen, and I think that it would be nice to get a better understanding of not just the Qun, but the Qunari people as a whole. Same for Tevinter, since the people we did meet from Tevinter were actually interesting, plus they have nice armor. I just want to see how mages rule over themselves.

They will be Howling at the moon, if they don't get something soon.

What's going to happen to Cassandra and Dorian?  :crying:  :crying:  And no future characters that's similar to them, since David Gaider isn't going to be working on the Dragon Age series anymore.  :(

If Cassandra needs to go to a new writer, I would like to see Mary Kirby, since she wrote 3 of my favorites companions (Loghain, Vivienne and Varric).

I would like her and Dorian to go to Patrick, since he did Cole justice for David. I like those three characters you mentioned, but I feel like they don't have the complexity of characters that David had written.

Here's hoping that Cassandra has already been written by Gaider, for the upcoming DLC.

I would be good with Patrick taking over for David in regards to Cassandra.

I just want to know who will be taking over Morrigan in her future appearances.

It's too bad Jennifer Hepler is gone. She was the original writer, along with David. I don't know why, but her characters tended to have ties to the Chantry somehow. I'd love to hear more of her take on someone like Cass.

Hepler wrote or co-wrote most everything that had to do with dwarves in DAO. Best I can tell, the only Chantry characters she wrote were Sebastian (who I remember a lot of people hating) and Elthina. She also did DA2 Anders, who next to everybody hated. She also did Bethany in DA2, but as far as I can tell, reaction to Bethany was mostly just 'ehh'.

With a companion track record like that, I can't say I'm sad to hear she's not writing Cassandra.

She was originally the writer for Cass here. So you can't escape it ;) Gaider picked the ball back up later.

I don't mean Chantry specific characters.. I just mean themes tied to them. So yeah, Anders counts too. She also wrote Bethany btw.

I don't hate Anders, writing wise. Hate him as a character, yes. But that's a good thing.. to provoke that level of contempt. If she was truly untalented, I would have just ignored Anders. But I can't.

Why not Patrick, also? Well that would be giving too many characters to Patrick, since he already has Cole, Iron Bull, and Solas.

Maybe there could be like two writers for Cassandra and Dorian.

3, or even 4 wouldn't be too many for one person. Gaider wrote Morrigan, Flemeth, Cassandra, and Dorian in DAI. In DAO he actually did way more, with Zevran, Alistair, Cailan, Shale, and most of Duncan, on top of the Dalish and Human Noble origins, Nature of the Beast and the Arl of Redcliffle quests.

He wrote Cailan and Duncan!!? That's news to me. I'd thought that the writers work on all the missions together.

I'd be curious what someone like Patrick would do with a character like Cassandra. He's capable of writing characters I don't care for or loathe. And tapping into themes I loathe even more (spirit coexistence and AI coexistence), but he's also written some of my favorite characters (he didn't create Jack.. that was Brian Kendragon, but Patrick took over later). I also liked Masked Empire more than the other novels.

He generally has a way of pissing me off and/or pushing buttons though. I'd rather not deal with it. :P

I apologize for what I'm about to write; I just really need to get something off my chest...

Just finished a completionist 150-hour playthrough, and I'm going through my stages of grief right now for the game being over.  Yesterday was denial.  Today is anger.

I really did enjoy 99.9% of this game, but MAKER'S F'ING BREATH BIOWARE the final scene with Cassandra was atrocious.  The party's over.  She's sad.  He seems perturbed.  THEY BOTH HAVE THEIR F'ING CLOTHES ON, WTF IS GOING ON HERE?!?

The Inquisitor just saved the f'ing World, is it seriously too much to ask that he engage in some LOVE-making with the woman he LOVES?  How is this a "romance?"

I'm not even asking for a full-on sex scene.  You could just show them waking up next to each other or something.  You think I dropped all that cash on the Orlesian "Epic Bed" for nothing?  Give me SOMETHING to work with here.

Anyway, thank you for allowing me to rant about something that's been bothering me.  The game was awesome overall, but that last scene was a major disappointment.

I don't even know where to start with this.

They don't have to screw 24/7 to show their affection for each other. Spending their time together watching the sunset was powerful, since it has been a while because of the giant hole in the sky. Also, they'd just finished fighting Corypheus.

It just seemed kind of awkward to me, like they were lacking the level of intimacy I would expect them to have at that point.  It's mostly the Inquisitor and how he just stands there rather emotionless.  What happened to poetry man?

Good call on the sunset though.  I do appreciate that part more now having just watched the scene again.

He has been through some stuff, and just want to relax with the person he loves.  ;)  :P

Did she become divine? Now that scene is hard to watch,(for me at least).

You mean to say the inquisitor is not up for it..?

I agree with you, all the ending scenes work the same way and I guess the writers wanted to stress that aspect of peace (which supposedly had not been there the previous months).

And maybe they also meant to give credit to those who made Cass Divine? Might feel weird for some audience to have a sex scene knowing she will leave him shortly.

However, we only see the beginning of the night anyway.

(Dude, I didn't recognize you with that new avatar! Your dwarf has grown horns, did you notice?)
