The only times I've heard people mention the relationship is when I go around and ask companions about it. Do you know what they say?

The banter that takes place in Val Royeaux.

Dwarf woman: Oh, I hope it's a bloomingtide  wedding!

Human male: What is this now?

Dwarf woman: The inquisitor and Lady Cassandra! Everyone's talking about it.

Human male: That's ridiculous… and disrespectful. Leave them to their own affairs.

What's a bloomingtide?

I think it's one of Thedas' month or season.

A month, yeah. It's roughly the equivalent of May and marks the beginning of summer.

Ugh, I was born in the summer, but I would rather have a Wintermarch's wedding.

Let me guess, you have to be a human Inquisitor for this banter to trigger?

I guess I never really payed attention to the Thedas calendar lol. However, when I took classics, I had to learn all the changes to the Roman calendar :P . Did you know that the Numa calendar had one day removed from each of the months with 30 days, because the Romans thought that odd numbers were lucky? lol The roman poet Virgil wrote, "Numero deus impare gaudet." or "God delights in odd numbers." :wizard:

But isnt Thedas in the southern hemisphere? So May should be the beginning of the winter.

Winter is typically June to September on Earth in the southern hemisphere. It's a moot point anyway, because Bloomingtide is confirmed on the Thedosian calendar to be the beginning of summer. It's the 5th month (out of 12) and marks the beginning of summer. Period.

No, that banter triggered on my dwarf. There's one human-only inquisitor banter in Skyhold for Cassandra, and one extra line for the qunari inquisitor banter with Iron Bull with Cassandra.  So I think things are pretty "fair."

Why did they think that odd numbers were lucky? And don't worry about not knowing about Thedas' calendar. They barely mention any of the dates, except in banters. I recently found out that Thedas days are Mon-Sun.

Historians are not too sure because so much of ancient literature has been lost. According to Plutarch, Romans thought that odd numbers were absolute, thus divine. We get lucky 7 from the Romans; September means 7 and was actually the seventh month in the old Julian calendar. 7 was thought by the Romans to be the perfect number, seven wonders etc.

Numa the second Roman king, who supposedly changed the calendar of Romulus to have 29 days in the 6 months with 30 days, is said to have ruled during the 8th century BC (the 700s lol). So the superstation dates back quite a long time.

So much ancient literature has always been lost. They could always make the months odd, but I wonder how they viewed their age when they were turning an even number. I would think that they believe it was going to be a bad year.

If September were once the seventh month,  how do we know we got the months right, today? Yea I know some people that consider    7 their lucky number.

It's funny, the lettering in Thedas is definitely not Roman, or in the English language, if you look at the ledger Cullen pins to the Chantry door in Haven the lettering looks like a messed up Greek. Yet they still have our Angolo-Saxon days of the week, that's lazy high fantasy I tell you lol XD. I just imagine waking up in Thedas, and everybody around me speaking some kind of Khoisan clicking language. lol

Well we use the Gregorian calendar that was introduced by Pope Gregory (some time in the 1500s AD) which was an improvement over the Julian calendar. The Julian calendar had shifted 10 days off course by that time (error of 1 day every 128 years), now it's something like 1 day every 4000 years or something like that...The Gregorian calendar is compared to the actual solar year which changes slightly. Basically we got to a more appropriate calendar due to the advancement of astronomy in the 16th century. lol

I have a bookmarked page that explains how the Divine election works, but somewhere along the way I forgot about the whole thing and just did whatever I wanted.

I just did the math and, well... Cassandra's chances are very slim.

Is the war table mission to support her claim worth anything?

Well Cassandra's accent is supposedly made up! :P  So it wouldn't surprise me if there were something things that were super exaggerated.

That makes it... 11 points for Cassandra vs 16 points for Leliana. Damn.

And it's crazy!Leliana on top of it.

Well, this goes to the list of crap I f## up in this playthrough. I suppose the first run is just bound to be the worst one.

That should be the best one.. more instinctual and non gamey. Just wing it and have fun.

I still don't know how I told Cassandra not to become Divine, supported Leliana, and totally ignored Vivienne, yet Vivienne was crowned.

Seems like Vivienne outplayed you at the game!  ;)  :P  *Nudge the guy next to me.*
