The only reason I do bring her along is because I'm sure she'll have a cameo in a future game where she mentions her travels with the Inquisitor. That was the only reason I recruited Sten in DAO (I think Sten is painfully boring and a chore to listen to), and Sten doesn't even appear in any game past DAO.

Seems like every western country. East went with cyrillic//Greek.

My point is if you look at books open in the game, or pieces of writing (like said ledger) it is not the Roman alphabet, it is not even Latinate. It's not in English (or other modern languages that are used in the game) like the codex entries etc that we read. Maybe it is Tevin, the Tevinter language? As for the modern alphabet, it is not the old Latin one that the Romans used, which is:  A B C D E F G H I K L M N O P Q R S T V X Y Z. So, GAIVS IVLIVS CAESAR
