Just leaving this here. Cassandra is in it, a lot. So there is that. And I just want to pimp it because of...reasons.

Nice read, Foley. The pacing was very nice, and I felt that you stayed true to the characters. I like the description as the beginning, which I've always tend to like, since I can get the mood or feel of things. Descriptions at the beginning of stories also tells what kind of mood the story or chapter will be heading in.

Nice read, Foley. The pacing was very nice, and I felt that you stayed true to the characters. Lol that isn't a description.
The hot red liquid between my fingers couldn't had came at a better time. The smell made me a little nauseous, but l'd to get up if I was going to figure this out.

It's a description that sets the tone for the whole book. That's what I thought you meant. Probably one of the most memorable intros.

Not about a character per se though.

What you did quote was interesting. Sounds like an character that's about to reflect on his/her past. Dialogue can sometimes set up the mood for the story, but when other important characters are involved early on, we could feel betrayed by the person who we started the story with because of his "tone," which didn't reflect the mood at the beginning.

Anyways, can't say I'm happy exactly with the open ended nature of those romances.

I mean, I can create my own thing, but that's not what I'm here for. I see this new approach of theirs as being too TES like.

I was always one who got more of a kick out of other storytellers. Like sitting at a campfire and quietly listening. There's joy in that. And more thrills. You never know what's coming that way. I don't care as much about injecting... "My turn!!!"

Funny story: We had to read that for class a long time ago, when I was young(14). I told everyone, teacher included, it was so shitty, I'd burn it. And I did. One page at a time. Now that was the best of times.
