lol... People talk about their childhood and it's a "fetish"?

What's up with that? I don't think I've ever accused my old man of anything like that.. if he talked about the 50s.

You know how the white heterosexual male was still an idol in the 90s? Oh, right, you don't. Sorry.

I don't care about that, I'm just tired of seeing every overgrown manchild in his early 30's online talk about how great his childhood shows are, and how sh*tty today's are. And hearing wannabe music snobs talk about how Nirvana and Kurt Cobain were God's gift to music.

Today's aren't any worse than the terrible shows you watched as a kid back before the days of the internet, and Nirvana is tremendously overrated. There's a reason why of all the members, only Dave Grohl is still famous and consistently working. Because he doesn't suck. Kurt had good ideas as a lyricist and could play the guitar on the odd occasion he was sober, but he wasted it by making most, if not all of his lyrics needlessly vague to the point of meaninglessness and doing so much heroin it slowly began to replace the blood in his body.

The "Huh huh what we had was better, you kids nowadays suck!" and the idiotic blindness of nostalgia from people makes me detest those time periods, irrational though it may be.

No one even said any of this though. Your rant is out of place. Like you're angry about some other person.

You mean of the 3 members, of which one is dead and the other decided to get out of the music business altogether?

I won't get into music with you now, I will just ignore all of it.

The point is simply: it has always been that way, it will always be that way and one day you will look back and think that things used to be much better. That's human, so what.

Australia, and finland has already removed it completely I believe.

To be fair, it's "only" cursive, so they won't just fully stop writing by hand, and it's going to come into effect in 2016.

I think classic rock in general is a whole lot better than most modern music.

And it all came and went before my time, so no childhood nostalgia there. I didn't even start listening to it until I was in my late teens.

It largely comes from the same place as the other group of people I hate.

Tumblr.

The vast majority of people don't seem to brag too much, so I don't much care about the vast majority of people. But it's the tiny vocal minority that makes me irrationally angry.

The only bit I cared to mention about music was "gangsta rap and grunge".. it was just supposed to be a joke about self-destruction. I'm not nostalgic about it. Some of my friends from then are dead.

You know that Nirvana has had at least 9 people in its line up across the years they were around, right? The 3 "main" members (Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic), and 6 others.

You can't actually count those who were too bad to last more than a few weeks, and before being famous.

Then again, yea, you can of course.

A religious prankster, would he seta chantry sister on fire by accident? :P

Hahaha! I think that's too extreme for his taste. I can see him placing a Thedas version of a whoopie cushion on a chantry mother's chair during a prayer service though. :P

My Trevelyan rogue (on standby) hated his job as a Chantry brother.. just did circus tricks for the kids. Juggling knives. Getting out  of locks.

That's all the story I have for that guy. That's why I play the mage. Easier for me to come up with good elf rogue or dwarf story.. but I don't like the designs at all (male, I mean).

Are you serious? The only famous members of Nirvana are Cobain and Grohl. And let's not kid ourselves, Cobain would have faded into nothing if he didn't blow his brains out with a shotgun. The only reason Dave Grohl is famous nowadays is because of the Foo Fighters. Nobody even knows who Krist Novoselic is.

Most people fade. He might have gotten better though, even if he stopped being famous. They're not the same thing.

I would have liked to see him go more and more acoustic. He could even have pulled off hootenanny bluegrass songs. Heh. His voice would have still fit for it.

I think Grohl was and is mostly known for being a hard drummer. He's still on other albums or invited on bands more as a drummer.

A lot of the cartoons I watched in the early-to-mid 90's were actually from the late 80's, so that would explain things. I firmly associate TMNT with my own childhood, and as such with the 90's.

I figured, hence my response being about Nirvana.
