I'd like Tallis more if she actually had a point, tbh. A minor character with major character screentime.

Seemed like they had more planned..

I bet the expansion might've gone into it more. Maybe they can recycle it later. She's originally from Tevinter, I think.

I know.. but it seems so off. She's introverted, for one. And not...very.. ambitious in the same way.

Those two traits are not related. You can be a very good field marshall and still be introverted. I am introverted but I am also a "typical aries". You can basically ask everyone around. I am a good leader, I can act myself and tell people what needs to be done, I can argue if necessary and I will fight for my position till there is blood; I just prefer to keep to myself in my free time and not to share my emotions and thoughts with everyone. I prefer to drop out of social gatherings when my energy level is drained. But for the job? I can lead the troops.

Being an introvert means that I do not need people, that I am fine on my own. But it does not mean that I will stand silently in a corner and not speak up. You get this totally mixed up, really.

Cass is an introvert, but she is also a damn good leader, stubborn, and a warrior. She won't run away from duty only because she'd like to quietly read a book instead, if that is what you feared. She can stand her ground and see any argument through to the end. She is not a sociopath only because she is introverted.

Sociopath? I don't mean any of that. I'm introverted too.

But not shy..which is often mistaken. And good in crisis. So I know what you're saying there. Not much of a leader though. I don't want to bother.

However, I tend to get a whole extroverted stereotype from Aries. It's not always the case as you said. After all, this stuff is bullsh*t to begin with. I just think out of all people to pick, she'd be an outlier at best. She doesn't line up.

Aries don't need to line up. B) When people hear I'm aries I usually get a "Figures" thrown in my face. I don't believe in the esoteric approach to life but I only wanted to point out that whatever traits of character are associated with aries, they can be applied to introverts, too.

In the end, what does it matter, Cass is just great as she is. She surely is my favorite character from the game. The one person who has a strong opinion and fights for what she believes in without being a jerk and reacting poorly whenever people don't share her point of view. The rest is trivial anyway.

I agree, but if someone is going to pick iconic portraits for these characters, then the symbolism kind of matters more.

If she actually fit the symbol, I'd dislike her. That's why I'm vocal. I can't hang around people like this for long. My first childhood fight was with this kid who had to get ahead of everyone on his bike.  He just had to always to be first. You know the type. I finally kicked him off. And I don't fit "vulnerable and nurturing" Cancer for being happy to do this either. ;)

MOTA is the worst DLC. My Hawke doing nothing while Tallis left with the Hearts of Many, after he threatened to kill her, was the last nail in the coffin, dont ever play that DLC Cespar.

I liked MOTA. It wasn't the best DA2 DLC, but it was a breath of fresh air after being forced to spend so much time in Kirkwall and its surrounding region. The exteriors were beautiful.

It's weird. DA2 is my favorite game of the series, but I have no interest in playing it again. It just goes nowhere in the end.

I enjoyed MOTA , it gave us something different to do such as sneaking into the palace , attending a party etc.. kinda like what the Orlais mission did in Inquisition.

Its impossible.
The motivation for Hawke going there was to steal a jewel, and why my Hawke who is already rich would want to steal a jewel? Its impossible to refuse the mission.
You cant side with Prosper, you just go to his party and murder him to help Tallis.
You cant get the Heart of Many, you just say to Tallis "you dont expect me to let you go?" and you let her go with a valuable knowledge! My Hawke would never do that, he sided with Petrice! He hated the Qun.

I think they had more planned.. Varric said that probably wasn't the last they'd see of her.

Just a guess. Gaider said in one of his last blogs that quiet a few deaths could happen in the expansion. Maybe Tallis was one of them, who knows. :D The only thing they used from it was the Flemeth/Arbor Wilds stuff.

But either way, Tallis story goes nowhere.. like almost everything else with Hawke. And it wasn't their fault, I think.

It would have been interesting to think how the DA franchise would have looked if EA hadn't rushed DA2 out before it could even brush its teeth.

I blame EA and other gamers.. who made DA2 out to be the worst thing ever or something. And EA listened. edit: I mean with the expansion. Rushing DA2 itself is EA's fault, of course.

Maybe Tallis was suppose to take Gatt place in the Demand of The Qun mission. They seemed to have similar views about the Qun. I don't know exactly how to feel about the Qun, yet.

Badly.

Then again, I say this with Certainty. Which makes me similar to Qunari.   ;)

Don't blame us for not liking the rushed mess that DA2 was.

It's weird. DA2 is my favorite game of the series, but I have no interest in playing it again. It just goes nowhere in the end.

I began replaying it the other day, and it's my 9th run through of the game. The recycled areas were easier to ignore, when I thought of how much of a slog the hinterlands are..

Its impossible.

Honestly, I think there was supposed to be more to it.But then, reasonable arguments about game quality turned into: 'herpa deep' lets blame the characters and protagonist for the rushed game boo hiss herpa derp. And the Devs actually listened, but missed the entire point..Hawke and the characters weren't the problem..It was the rushjob of the game itself.

And back then fans of the positive aspects of the  game, didn't want to say anything( less they get overwhelmed by misdirected vitriol). I was one of thoe fans, and it was just pointless to try and reason with some of  them.Urrgh, bad days those.

There bitc**** is responsible for the neutrality complex of all four voices of the inquisitor.

I won't be buying any DAI DLC related content, because slogging through it with mr/mrs neutrality is not worth my money, or time.

It would have been interesting to think how the DA franchise would have looked if EA hadn't rushed DA2 out before it could even brush its teeth.

It would have been better, than Inquisition.

I'm talking about the expansion being canceled. That sucks for fans who were having fun. And for what? Just to please haters?

And what happens? People hardly come back to this either. I don't know digital sales numbers, but hard copy numbers aren't great.

I tend to keep an open mind until I gain more knowledge. I started off pro-mage in the beginning, but realize that the mages aren't ready for that. They just need a little more freedom in the circle.

The Hinterlands isn't all that bad, but I've only played DA2 4 times, so I'll need to play again one day. I only like the personal story aspects, companions, and Sarcastic Hawke. Fighting the Qunari was fun, too.

I have no problems with DA2, in fact I liked it more than DAO, my real problem is with MotA, I really hated being shoehorned in helping Tallis without any motivation, and I dispise Tallis as a characters, there is no way for me to like that DLC.

I don't mind the Hinterlands that much. It's pretty. The general background of the story is cool. Just not executed with any depth. The mage/templars there aren't interesting aspects of that war. They're just dumbasses going crazy at each other. None of them have a story or specific demands.. or even names. Refugee quests are mmo-like. On average, DA2's sidequests were always more cinematic, dialogue heavy.. Rescuing Feynriel, killing that elf abuser in the cave, finding that guy's missing wife, etc.. These in turn branched into bigger quests in each Act. They tried to avoid pointless filler as much as possible and gave things more narrative.
