I think Anders alone is enough for me to never touch that game again, lol. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game, and I appreciated what it tried to accomplish, that's about the most I can say about it. I do like the personal family stuff though.

 

And I see a pattern, of people claiming the older game is better than the newest with pretty much every gaming series I've ever seen. They do this in TES as well. Rose Tinted Glasses. Many of the same people who said they hated one game then later claim it's the best in the series, or at the least much better than the newest.

 

Not saying you do this, but many do. It's funny to see this now after all the hate DA 2 got before. I think what it is, is DA I shows what the creators were trying to do with the story, making DA 2 seem better, but that's something I credit DA I for, not DA 2.

 

It's just my honest opinion.

 

If I was that nostalgic, I'd give DAO more props, right? But I was just in your position when DA2 came out. I was enjoying it and not so nostalgic about the previous game.

You're smoking on that one. Maybe for chicks, they were. Though even then, Solas alone destroys Sebastian and Anders if you ask me, with how relevant to everything he is. And if that's not your bag, Cullen for simple and easy.

 

Male options, Cassandra even beat Morrigan for me, so that's all that needs to be said there.

No, I'd be really interested? Seen some of his latest stuff, but no DA2 articles.

 

I know they had a mock up with a Hawke that looked similar, but the companions he was with didn't mean much. But that is supposed to be Hawke. I can't find it now, but they even made a little animated movie with this character.

Morrigan will always be my DA waifu. Cassandra is cool and all, but I'm just a fan of the character more than the romance.

You could be right.. it's more of a wild guess, based on "most important person in Thedas", and why Cassandra was on the hunt. 

 

I don't really care either way. I mourn the canceled Exalted March expansion, if anything.

I'm really confused here... DA 2. The game with multiple repeat levels. With no real sense of pacing, no sense of focus, and the choice between the chick so slutty that she CANONICALLY has an itch named after her and the girl with the mind of a 12 year old (who I admittedly adored, but look at my choices here, for christ's sake). That game?

 

The game that gave so many people idiot balls you'd think it was made by the writers of the Walking Dead. The game whose protagonist mostly just witnessed the city going to **** and did so little, and was basically reduced to a babysitter, a role given to him admittedly because everyone there was so stupid that they said "Hey, peasant guy that got rich quick by killing stuff, FIX THE CITY FOR US. ? That game?

 

The game that ruined Anders and gave us ****** Sebastian. That game?

Opinions bud, saved for the recycled dungeons , i liked pretty much everything you are criticizing the game for ....well maybe not Anders and Sebastian.

My views on DA 2 havent changed one bit since it was released so when i say i enjoy its story more than i do Inquisition it has absolutely nothing to do with nostalgia.

AH come on but I want to have a debate and then get out the knives and other cutlery and start jabbing each other's eyes out.  You're no fun. :P

 

Really though the point I am trying to make, badly it seems, is that I really did enjoy both stories.  

 

Haha i see , i would gladly debate with you normally but this is just one of those my dad's stronger than your dad kinda topic , they usually go nowhere.

 

O and i also enjoyed both game, just because i say that i enjoyed DA 2's story more doesnt mean i dont love DA I, while i always say that DA 2 had the superior story ( and protagonist ) DA I pretty much beats it in everything else .

Maybe the expansion was gonna make Hawke "the most important person in Thedas" they really shouldn't have made that statement, that alone makes it too Shepard-ish

Morrigan and Cousland make a cool contrast to mage Trev/Cass. If only they could fight each other....

Against kirkwall, I think. That's why Hawke says she left in DAI... but the threat panned out to be nothing (in the same way DA2 itself panned out to nothing lol).

 

 

As for Merrill, she could still die at the end of DA2.. so I wonder how they'd handle that.
