Actually, cynicism "at its most basic" is the exact opposite. Before it was manhandled by wannabe nihilists who don't know what actual nihilism entails, cynicism simply meant "to live ones life with virtue". Ergo, to be morally good and not an a**hole.

 

And yeah, nihilism has nothing to do with anything here, which is why I'm puzzled as to why you bothered mentioning it at all. It's totally irrelevant.

I might not count, though, not really being a regular in the Cassandra thread. It was the thread where I posted for the very first time though, so that means something to me. I wish we, meaning the entire BSN, were nicer to each other though.
