I called it!!!

Earlier today I said that I think Cassandra is a softie at heart, and now DG says that she's a romantic in the interview.

I knew it! :P

Cullen is my guess.

Leliana too from something Gaider mentioned a few months back.

Leliana and her looked to get a long marvelously if you remember the ending of DA2. I'd say Sera and Dorian.

Neither are companions, so I don't think he was referring to them.
Plus, from what we know of the formation of the Inquisition, I think she might be fine with both.

YAY she's a secret softie :P I'm torn between romancing her or teasing her about it in my first playthrough.

I can see her conflicting with Cullen, if he's still the same fool he was in the last two games. I don't think she'd like what most Templars have done to the Chantry. I'm hoping he's questioned some beliefs by now though.

I haven't really seen any either lol

I may be way off base on this but I think most of those creating fanart are females so regardless of the gender of the love interest we will almost always see them paired with a female inquisitor.  Unless said artist are playing a male inquisitor in which case they seem to prefer to romance the gentlemen.*  So the answer would be I suppose to brush up on your drawing skill, thankfully the fan art community oft reflects my preferences because otherwise I'd be stuck with my stick figure 'art' :D

*Not true in all case, not intended to be offense etc. etc.

Really? I think she'd respect Dorian for his defiance against Tevinter tradition.

My bet is on Sera and Solas. Sera being the wildcard, not playing by society's rules and not too fond of the power's that be. Solas probably being a apostate mage with many mysteries and probably a closer connection to the fade than Cassandra is comfortable with.

Don't know enough about Dorian at this point.

Considering that I strongly suspect Cullen remained in the Chantry and not joined the templars, I'd say he might've changed a bit. A character development after seeing the worst of templars in DA2 (and mages in DAO), was something I'd expect.

Is that what Dorian is about? The "good" Magister? I don't know anything about him.

I think she might not get along with Cole and Solas.

Cassandra really reminds me of Berserk's Caska, doubly so now that we know her personality

And I mean this in the best way possible

All I know is if what happened to Caska happens to Cass I won't be the only one going berserk. But yeah, She does kind of look like her.

Excellent interview! Confirmed as a plus in my all take on, we kid you not party (Cass, Viv, IB / Varric tbc)

Don't think Cass likes jokes, hence Sera is in trouble

The last few discussion just made me think of a fan art with Solas and the "mean girls" Iron Bull and Vivienne. Gaider commented on it saying that the picture was missing someone to make it perfect. We now know that Cassandra, Iron Bull and Vivienne all get along...

I highly doubt that will happen but I am with you. And I will the kill the Griffith in that situation then and there. I swear I never wanted a villain dead more then that guy.

Wasn't the manga setting up Griffith as an hero?
By the time I stopped reading, he was the one figthing back "muslim" invasions and setting up a kingdom safe from all the magical mayhem unleashed.

Yeah, but seeing with what happen to her brother I'd say her relationships with Tevinter Magisters are pretty strained going into Inquisition. Look how Leliana treated Dorian in the demo.

Leliana treated Dorian badly after getting tortured by Tevinters, in a quest that happens fairly late in the game, after a series of event in the mage-templar war. We have no clue what is their relationship before (though it can very well be like in the demo).

There was a demo where Leliana interacted with Dorian?

Not sure how many Tales fans there are here but to me Cass sounds a lot like Gaius from Xillia. Which is cool because I was planning on using him as a personality template for one of my Inquisitors. What a team those two will make .

I'm surprised Cassandra would get along with Iron Bull.
For one, she seems the type to not have patience for nonsense; and Iron Bull has already suggested to throw Sera like a catapult; and I'd imagine her reaction to him sending information to Par-Vollen would be something in the lines of: "Am I the only one who can see what a huge security breach this is?"

Perhaps it's because he comes right out and says who he reports to? If the Inquisition knows that Par Vollen is being informed of matters then they're not at as much of a disadvantage. Plus the Qunari aren't really big on uncontrolled magic, and the breach is pretty darn uncontrolled. If the Inquisition is trying to stop chaos from destroying the world I doubt the Qunari will try to stop them, especially if one of their top agents has "infiltrated" their ranks.
