No even in the Trek universe you have a variant of physics; namely expenditure of energy requires fuel.
So is it adorable or merely me making use of the laws already present, though admittedly the logic between modern warships and submarines and Federation battleships is different.
But as Scotty told Kirk so many times
Though honestly if you want real logic in the Trekverse why not go with the classic, we use an extremely rare form of natural and synthetic crystal as the backbone of our entire military force.
Course...we could just go back to arguing about how the Romulans got royally shafted in the series.
