I like Cassandra a lot, but I also like that there are people who don't for what ever reason. These characters should be divisive . I love Varric but I don't like how his personality is so smoothed over that its almost impossible to dislike the guy at this point.

I used to have a .GIF of what looked like Cassandra performing a sexual act on Varric.
This is the second time, total, that it's been relevant, and I can't find it. Bugger.
Maybe Varric and Cass will hook up if you don't romance either of them. You'll have plenty of shots to make new gifs ![]()

Well, they said they'd release a HD demo, but I woudn't hold my breath. Between FF, the dev diaries, etc. I'll keep my expectations down.I wish that was shown in the video too
I'd like to see better shots of the other PC's races though.

YAY she's a secret softie
I'm torn between romancing her or teasing her about it in my first playthrough.
Why not do both?

All I know is if what happened to Caska happens to Cass I won't be the only one going berserk.
But yeah, She does kind of look like her.
Agreed, what happened to her was beyond horrid and disgusting. It seemed like the writer decided that she was "Too badass" and decided to turn her into a meek girl that cannot even talk after demons and her former commander had their way with her. ![]()
I don't think Bioware is the type to use rape in such a tasteless manner and even when it does happening Bioware's series at least treat it like a serious issue and we've seen that rape victims can overcome their ordeals and not be broken - example: Fenris was heavily implied to have been "touched" by his hated former slave master. That and Bioware hasn't used rape to destroy a character yet so that the Main Character can get a push since we all know that Casca was only raped and reverted to a child mentality to provide angst for Guts and a story arc to restore her which has gone on for YEARS. Than there's the whole "She may not want to have her mind restored" excuse going around.
The Casca I know wouldn't want to remain in that state and she would want to avenge him comrades and for what happened to her! Heck, she lost her child because of the ordeal and Guts isn't the same man since what happened!
So my point is that Cassandra and no LI, for that matter, created by Bioware will ever be violated anywhere close to how Casca was violated and destroyed as a character in Berserk for shock value.

So, why do we figure she will dislike Cullen? As far as I see it, they're pretty similar. Both have bad experiences with magic, are loyal servants to the chantry and were willing to stand against their bosses when they felt they had crossed the line.
They both were loyal servants to the Chantry, in DA2 at least. Cullen's new outfit doesn't seem to have the Templar insignia and he's supposedly leading the Inquisition's armies so it's very possible/likely he's broken away from the Templars. Cassandra is "The Believer" so she could clash with someone who might be questioning his own beliefs. Or they could be best friends, who knows ![]()

The lack of templar insignia doesn't mean much, since templars left the Chantry already. They both were loyal servants to the Chantry, in DA2 at least. I can explain my theory on Cullen's role in the inquisiton, but it requires knowledge of the interview with Cameron Lee that explains a bit the start of the game and the Inquisition's formation. So, you're all war is if you click the spoiler tag.

I may not be actively posting in Cass' thread, here, but it's mostly because I know enough to know I love her to bits already. She's my bb. I'll be bringing her around everywhere on my first playthrough, and, likely, the majority of my others.

Be full offscreen demo at E3. We didn't see that part, but some recaps suggested that Leliana was quite shaken, and she basically tell Dorian to GTFO (according to the recaps).
Are we ever going to see that? Or what we saw already without people talking over it?

Judging by that old demo a while back, that seems like it might be changing. He actually seems to conflict with some of the Inquisitor's choices this time around.

She looks great in those casual clothes! This makes me wonder now if companions will have casual dresses as well, or just walk around in their armor the entire time.

You realize that this is the guy who was second-in-command of the person Cassandra said was responsible for all the crap happening to the Chantry at the end of DA2 right? Changing your mind after the fact because your crazy commander just asked you to kill Hawke (or those mages begging for their lives) do not absolve you of what you did in the last 7 years in support of that person.
Also, who said that Cullen stayed loyal to the Chantry? I'm starting to think that the specialists are actually recruited, minus Leliana, so you get 1 companion and one specialist forced on you: the Right and Left hands of the Divine. And you are the head of the Inquisition, hmm.
