I'd say that Xerxes was a few notches less gay than the heroes in that movie.

I think you're thinking of Meet the Spartans :P

I'm not even kidding. Spartan warriors had a lot of gay sex. Granted, they were generally more clothed than the horde of oily mostly naked men that we saw in the movie, but I wouldn't be surprised if that outfit represented what some of them were fantasizing about.

Hmm, who else, who else...

Lots and lots. It's a pretty common trope/effect.

"Sissy Villain," "depraved homosexual," and foe yay." are some of the way tv tropes addresses it. There's a lot of variation, but when enemies come off as obsessed with each other in general...

Joker often seems this way toward Batman.

Khan toward Kirk. "He tasks me. He tasks me and I will have him."

Harbinger toward Shepard, for that matter. It seems like he wants to make a puppet or a pet out of them.

And a lot more, really.

I'm just talking about the movie. The one where they laugh at the Athens and call them "Boy Lovers", lol. IRL, yes, they were greeks after all. Lol.

That still doesn't change the whole "hordes of naked muscular men with spears" thing.

Black-and-white striped leggings and high heels doesn't make him gay. Come on now...

Oh and almost every super villain in Dragon Ball Z was rapey or feminine. Freiza, Cell especially, who went from rapey, to prison cell rapey, to just feminine, then Majiin Buu had a big pink tentacle on his head, lololol. And his absorbing people was really gross and rapey too.

For any DBZ fans here.

Who cares if it was offensive if it wasn't derogatory? Did the police show up or something?

Personally:

ESB

RotS

RotJ

ANH

TPM

AotC

But that's just me. RotS was easily one of the better Star Wars movies once you realize how horrible the acting was in the most of the OS. The prequels problems come from shite directing.

I care about offending people, if I care about the people involved in a subject.

If you want me to step on people's toes, just talk about the Qunari again. ;)

What can I say, I didn't focus on that much, lol. I never saw it as gay because too many women I knew were busy fanning themselves over it all.

Not in Orlais and Tevinter it seems.

Though I'd beg to differ on Orlais...

Spartans were literally gay. Not just the films.

Aside from Iron Bull's comically small head, the qunari are quite aesthetically pleasing.

And Vegeta is wearing a skin-tight spandex suit while he travels around with a buff, muscular guy who doesn't wear pants.

Speaking of Majin Buu, his head tentacle gets longer and thicker as he advances in form, though it shrinks when he turns into Kid Buu (possible subliminal pedophilia?)

I can't really say that Cell was feminine though, in any of his forms.

Well, he did grab my arm, and I felt pretty violated...

The females are OK. I need to find a way to put that disclaimer everywhere.

The perfect form was pretty feminine, he held his hands on his hips and had nails that looked polished. He took on the sleeker appearance from 18 after all. Reminded me vaguely of Frieza, though of course nowhere near as bad.

And he even pops out babies

Evolution has done better favors for us. Or God. Pick whatever you want.

I'm not gonna equate some stupid **** that came out of some hack artist's mind a couple of years ago to the beauty of nature.

I don't remember him ever holding his hands on his hips. Not in his Perfect Form anyway. His trademark pose is standing there with his arms crossed.

Frieza is 50/50. His 1st form and his final form (pre 100% power) are pretty feminine. His 2nd and 3rd form aren't.

I don't know a lot of the anime stuff. It seems to me though that when the Japanese depict gay, they're usually over the top and stereotypical. Some of the villains I see never struck me that way.

What exactly is so wrong with them? Horns? Grey skin? Pointy ears?

Gorilla body... way too pointy chin/jaw area for that gargantuan neck... lots of room for error in the average hands as well. You could probably make a passable one, but most people's attempts look like ass. Just because the template is ass. Sometimes they appear batlike in the face, at first glance.

The horns aren't bad. Just dumb and impractical. Why did they even evolve that way, as bipeds? It's just going for a needlessly "aggressive" look. Like something to appeal to metalheads. They all get a hard on for this kind of imagery.
