It's not like we can't revive that topic.
That clip is the perfect way to put it. The things...
They should rename the game "Heroes of Blood Mage Age". Seriously, who would have thought Danarius and Uldred would be god-tier?
Pretty much. Orsino is especially bad. It's like they're punishing you for having good cards, since he becomes exponentially more powerful the more damage his team takes.
If he's the last card alive, he'll just 1-shot your entire team and you lose. Meanwhile, other cards like the Queen of the Blackmarsh or Briala are trash-tier for being legendaries. Cassandra's legendary card is pretty bad too. I gave up on Heroes of Dragon Age once I realized that there's no strategy whatsoever outside of deciding which color faction you want to base your team around.

Reminds me of the time someone on the HODA forums complained that he spent $4000 trying to get Solas but didn't get him. I don't know what's worse: the fact that someone is willing to spend $4000 for a card that they'll likely never use unless the PVP helps him, or that the card still didn't appear after all that.

Not as bad as the people defending the RNG by saying "well, you don't need to spend all that money, just spend the gold you earn in-game on soldier packs!"
In my own experience, the soldier packs will give you 1 rare for every 100 uncommons, and 1 epic for every 50 rares. I've never even seen a legendary come from a soldier pack, I've only ever gotten mine from the PvP event packs that cycle, and those cost gems instead of gold, so you can't reliably farm them once you unlock every other achievement.
So I'm curious: Who of you specced Cass as a 2H warrior - both gameplay and character-wise?
I never saw Dawn of the Seeker since the terrible ME anime taught me a lesson to remember, so I only saw her use sword & board during the introduction of DAI. Usually keeping both her and Blackwall around, I think a greatsword actually goes way better with her personality.
She wants to protect, yes, but she also prefers action over inertia - and she does have a slight anger management problem.
I've got a Cass IV but it's only the Epic One.
I do use her instead of my Legendaries, tho.

Recently I only saw one person with Dorian lol
It's nearly impossible to have Dorian because you need to acquire nearly every other Tevinter character including the Legendaries.

I'm assuming a rank 1 Dorian, considering that you have to have what, like, 7 other cards of varying rarities to unlock him. If it's a rank 4 Dorian, then you can guarantee that whoever owns it spent a LOT of money (I mean thousands, if not possibly tens of thousands) on card packs.

I actually do fairly well in HoDA even though some people like to spam top tier legs

Yep, it was a tier 4 Dorian. Didn't even bother trying to fight that person

Oh, I find it very easy to pick one.
...then again, the world needs people willing to spend their money so generously. Keeps companies in business and the unemployment rate in check.

It makes me sad to know that people like those actually exist. Rich people can spend their money however unwisely they want, it doesn't really affect me, but what is the motivation? Does having a better card setup in a freemium iPhone game really matter that much to you that you're willing to blow several months worth of salary (or more) on RNG booster packs?

You can just consume other characters to level up tiers.
It's time consuming, tough.
As in, get a legendary. Consume around a million uncommons and bam, tier IV

Or consuming a lot of epic Wisps lol ![]()
That's how I got some of mines up to Tier 3. King Alistair, Flemeth, Barkspawn, Wynne, and Grey Warden Sigrun are the only Tier 4 I got

Well having a OP team means less people knocking your rank down during PVP events alot

Sure, if you're comfortable wasting several hundred, if not a thousand hours or more just farming gold for soldier packs.

Battle 137 still no Sophia Dryden.

I barely get knocked down in PvP events, and my team isn't OP by any stretch of the imagination (Epic Duncan tier 2, Corrupted Spider Queen tier 2, Briala tier 2, The First tier 1, and Grey Warden Oghren tier 1). The key is to start earlier than other people (starting earlier = less people in the event when you enter = higher jumps on the leaderboard per victory). Log on early after you first wake up and do the PvP until you're out of stamina. When you're empty, go do PvE to farm XP and level up or earn gems for card packs.

That and the Crow Zevran PVE event are BS

Yeah, that is literally how I got most of my Legendaries and Epics into tier IV.
Working my way through Morrigan, the Architect, Corypheus, Ressurected Ogre and Templar Samson at the same time.
It;s gruelling.

I wish you could trade characters.
I want a Queen Anora to pair up with my King Alistair so badly.
Who are we talking about here?
Cassandra, obviously.
Cassandra, obviously.
Cassandra's face is so ugly you can't play the game anymore?
