But he just explained how he saw the exchange take place:

A: "She wears some sort of boob plate"

B: "No, she does not. You mean a chest plate right? Because that is what she wears".

Seriously, are we so bored that we must make up something by deliberately ignoring an explanation given a few minutes before?

Don't worry about it, it's because all three of them are a vartion of 'plenus aer calidus.'

The point is, a breastplate is a section of plate over the breasts, male or female. Boobplate is a term to describe a breastplate with actual female breast shape in the mold. Usually for female characters, to the point that it looks comical. We all know what a breastplate is; unfortunately that wasn't the point trying to be made.

Well that would be silly. Cassandra's breastplate has been made to be more comfortable in the chest, due to the fact that Cassandra is a woman--however it is still a practical plate that actualy protects her. She would not be comfortable in a traditonal greco-roman styled breastplate (she would be squished).

I was talking about this outfit, which has molded breasts, just not as conical as your typical fantasy boob plate. And yeah, it would be silly... which was kind of the point.

Tbh, I'd pay money for a boob plate DLC.

If Cassandra can be sexy AND deadly at the same time, who am I to stop her? It's not as if Bioware is exactly devoted to realism in their games anyway.

^ I'd equip her with that and never take it off, no matter how bad the stats were. I'm such a misogynistic pig of a man.

Addai apparently. You're saying the same **** she is, just worded differently, hence the stupid semantics discussion.

A boobplate, going by that picture covers only the breasts, a breastplate is a term for an armor that covers the full torso...

If it wasn't apparent enough by the name, "boobplate" is colloquial slang with no hard definition.

Why this seems to be escaping you, I don't know.

Sigh, let it go. If you didn't know what it was you should have just said so instead of trying to educate people that already know, which is why these dudes got on you for it. Like Ventus said, it's any plate made to show ****** in metal. Cass' isn't an obvious double dome, but it is shaped to show she generally has breasts in her default skyhold outfit. It is unnecessary as well. Even though it's not exactly boob plate, hence why words like kinda were thrown up.

Now, that is done.

Dude, I know what a breastplate is.

I started to say that she doesn't wear boob plate armor, so people who think she looks like a man get confused and think she has no breasts. But then I realized her default outfit has molded breasts too, just not as pronounced as you usually see in fantasy games.

It's not funny when you have to explain it.

Of course I'm still not a fan of this armor style in games where people are fighting, but that aside... ;)

It kind of is (you know, like has been said at least 3 times). It's a breastplate with extra room in the chest for her t*ts. No real suit of plate armor will have breasts jutting out like hers. Actual, real plate armor (medieval plate armor, like what DA is trying to emulate in tone and style) is largely unisex. Cassandra wouldn't even need to have her armor modified to fit her bust. Plate armor designed to accommodate breasts like that would actually be less comfortable and less practical to wear, because your chest is several inches longer out and your t*ts would chafe from bouncing around and smacking the metal during heavy physical activity. Cassandra doesn't have the largest bust anyway, so any normal breastplate that fit her would cover her fine and still be comfortable.

All I said was that her armor was very practical, unlike what you had shown in the picture you provided. Compared to traditional armors, all Cassandra's armor is is a breastplate with added room in the chest. In the real world when such armors were used, it would have been an added expense to do so, and few women would have worn armor anyway. That is why in historical movies, like Joan of Arc you don't see the female solider with that added room. I think Bioware did a good job in depicting an armor in a medieval world where women actually fight. As for ventus and his ilk, they try too hard to be considered proper trolls.

I don't speak Latin, I had to google that. But I will keep it in mind, I can use that so often a day.

Anyway, I don't understand why you keep arguing. You mix realism (and there was no such thing as a boob plate in real medieval life anyway, I strongly doubt there is one now because it does not look useful and, if anything, even dangerous) and terminology with... something else. Maybe a joke or so, I don't really know how this debate came to happen. In any case everybody here seems speak of something different (or at least with another intention in mind), hence this whole argument it pointless. Or I just don't get it, also possible.

Your problem is that you don't understand what breast = traditionally vs. what your mind thinks,  breasts =  'fun bags'.

Actually, no they wouldn't. It's the same principle as to why female athletes wear sports bras and tighter-fitting clothing, because having your t*ts bounce around in a fight is a bad idea.

That is why in historical movies, like Joan of Arc you don't see the female solider with that added room.

Are you really trying to use a movie to justify your point?

I'm in a good mood, so I won't bother reporting this. All I'll say, is that you sound upset and that I'm disappointed you're going for insults.

Reminded me of the banter between Cassandra, Bull, and the Inquisitor.

Inquisitor: What are you two talking about?

Bull: Your naked body. Well, I am. Cassandra is glaring and turning red.

Everybody likes the elven babes.

Not an elf girl, but actually this would be the idea boobplate for Cassandra:

Or maybe I just like it because it shows off her bum. To be totally fair, that's equally likely.
