What's the Witcher forum got against us?
Probably the same thing Bioware forums has against them

...wait the Witcher gets a lot of props in these parts. I don't see it but still.

In The Lobby it does, but when make one on the DA forum it turns into a pissing match
What's the Witcher forum got against us?
Everything. I have no idea why the two fandoms hate eachother. I love both game series.
Yea... I can relate to that, which is why I avoided reading this forum while playing. I was on the witcher forum though and they're the biggest negative nancies in the world, especially when it comes to Bioware. After I decided I liked Inquisition (after almost getting my money back because of Hinterlands), I avoided that place for a bit too.
I got my money's worth out of DA 2, and I enjoyed the armor especially, and the years it took to tell the story, the humor, Arishok of course. It was a good game, and I certainly don't regret buying and playing it loads, regardless of my issues with it.
I like DA2 as well. I think you and I are two out of maybe six people on the entire site who do. If I had to list my favorites from most to least, it would be Inquisition > DA2 > DAO. People give DAO too much credit. It's good, certainly, but it's a chore to play through with the outdated mechanics and stiff combat. Any game where I can click on enemies and let the game literally play itself, was not designed well. It doesn't help that the PC version randomly crashes with Windows 8 (and the compatibility settings do nothing to help), so you're forced to hit the F5 key every 5 minutes to avoid losing hours of progress.

Witcher 2 has QTEs. It can burn in the fiery pit of mediocrity.

Plus the Darkspawn in that game were just boring as all heck. My favorites are Inquisition, Awakening, 2, Origins.
I also like DA2 for what it is, since I mostly blame it's shortcoming on the fact it had short development

Also agree with this, people fanboy too much over the past games

Even on the DA boards, I've never seen anything but near-unanimous praise for the Witcher. There will be the token guy who comes in and trashes it, but a good 95% of the topic will be "yeah the Witcher is so much better than this trash game, I can't wait for TW3 so I can stop playing this worthless garbage".
That's another thing I noticed. People seem to hate on DA and praise the Witcher, yet they also always have to claim that they still play DA. If you hate the game like you seem to, why do you continue to play it? I dislike Destiny, so I stopped playing Destiny. It's not a hard philosophy to adhere to.

I actually chucked during the Witcher 3 gameplay trailer..."this is DAI's competition"I thought...granted I recognize it could have been because of the horrible presentation but I was not impressed.

Because Bioware's fanbase is two-faced and conflicted

Like the guy who says he thinks Cassandra is ugly, so literally all of his posts and topics are about Cassandra.
Because when you dislike something, just not partaking in it is too simple. People need to justify their distaste, so they keep punishing themselves by doing whatever it is they don't like, because they're imbeciles.
How is that?
Btw, Al, Max, Ventus, Ares - I would have pinned a few likes on your posts. But since BW feels I shouldn't be too positive around the BSN I cannot.
I just noticed this and it makes me happy for some very odd reason that people are calling me Al. ![]()

Think of it like this. I really like mages. A lot. Magic is cool and I always play as mage in DA. But constant bickering over how mages should be handled "makes" me feel nothing but disdain for the topic. Hypocrisy, double standards, rose-colored glasses, etc. It gets annoying. To the point I'd rather not bring the topic up at all, this explanation excluded. It never goes anywhere and all it does it makes me look more harshly at something I'd rather enjoy. I've been past the breaking point with DA:O.

Ugh, I can't imagine letting people on these forums dictate my enjoyment of the game. That's giving them too much power, especially in this fandom.

or this?

I fully understand that, but that's online arrogance for you. People think they know it all and because aggression doesn't have consequences online, they will just fight it through to the end to proclaim themselves the winner anyhow, no matter the actual course of debate. It's sad when this actually starts to influence your real life, in this case by spoiling the game.

Not having read too many philosophers, I see myself forced to stick to the classics.

It's not so much as they dictate it as much as it makes me seriously reevaluate, though the constant complaining does get to me eventually. I'm the type of guy who can still get a mediocre of enjoyment out of the SP campaign of CoD.
Look at all the cliches BioWare's been using since the 90s, you'll see the only thing holding Origins, DA2, and Inquisition together is the characters and gameplay. DA:O may have slightly better characters, but the gameplay was terrible even for it's time. So much worse. I'd rather play DA2. I'd rather play Inquisition.

AW's campaign was decent tho

True enough, though there are times someone might bring up a point that I hadn't thought of or thought of in the same way and that might change my perception. But at the end of the day if I'm having fun, **** everyone else and there opinions.

Wittgenstein is the last great classic, before the cooky postmodernists. ![]()
Just like Einstein, no physicist is really sure about an infinite universe lol. The great thing about people like Einstein is that they understand the limits of their understanding, and are willing to admit when they do not know something. They are never trying to pull the wool over your eyes. ![]()
