Nevarra just makes me think about 8 Mile. It annoys the hell out of me.

Eminem confirmed as King of Nevarra.

Wonder if they will make DLC for DAI that takes us there.

Not sure if DLC like Legacy or MotA would do Nevarra justice. An Awakening sized expansion perhaps, but the best bet is to visit Nevarra in a proper sequal.

Why is it so important for people that Cassandra should be bi? why cancel a pre order, the game isn't centered around romance

I can't really speak for anyone else, but I have liked Cass since I first saw her in DA2. I am also wanting a change from female rogue LIs (Leliana and Isabela are both rogues as well as f/f LIs, just as Sera is for DA:I - it seems to be the rule for some reason). In fact, my ideal romance would be with a female knight/warrior, so Cass kind of fits very neatly into that. (I loved Aveline, I loved Ser Cauthrien, I loved Ser Mhairi, and going further afield I loved Ashley Williams from the ME franchise - see the pattern? Thus far, in the DAverse, this kind of LI has been denied to us all, straight, gay, or in between.)

Personally, I wouldn't cancel a pre-order over it. However, when the time comes to pre-order, I may forgo a collector's edition over this. (I haven't made up my mind yet, honestly.)

There are other Pentaghast other then Markus, his brother and Cassandra. They're distantly related to Markus and His brother (as Cassandra is. She's a distant cousin of the king).
The other Pentaghast don't have a direct right to the throne because the current royal bloodline was formed by the Union of the Pentaghast with the Van Markham House, which have the same rights on the throne as those Pentaghast.

Going by Vivienne's letter (at the bottom) to the Nevarra's ambassador in Orlais, there is a line of succession that goes all the way down to seventy-third in line: I know you are only seventy-third in line for the Nevarran throne.

Also, the Pentaghast/Van Markham association happened 300 years ago, the result was a new Pentaghast dynasty. Cassandra could be part of that dynasty. I somehow have the feeling that Nevarra's throne isn't so much hereditary has elective though.  I'm saying that because the Last Descent codex talk about a pretender to the throne that was ousted and WoT says he wasn't even a Pentaghast (it's the only item codex that shows up in the timeline, I find it fishy...especially when said armor was found right before the primeval thaig entrance when you play a rogue).

It does sound that Nevarra had Elective succesion instead of Primogeniture or Seniority.

I'm based my theory on the WoT entry about it. It stated that both 'Pentaghast and Van Markham relatives' want to take Markus' place, that's why I think that Van Markham are still related to the royal bloodline and can claim the throne.
I think that Cassandra is in the bloodline. My point is that she might not be close in line to the throne, since it was stated she was a distant relative to the king.

And it was stated in WoT that Ferdinand was next in line, so I think the monarchy might be based in some way on a ereditary system.

I wonder if Cassandra would become queen if it could prevent another civil war (in case Ferdinand died early). Even if she doesn't like the idea too much.

She is probably not very close in line, but still a Pentaghast.

I believe Gaider debunked any plans of putting Cassandra on the throne.

Don't quote me on that, though.

Everyone want the throne of Nevarra, even the other nobles who are not Pentaghasts or Van Markham.

Cassandra is a distant cousin, it just mean she's not a first cousin. She could be a second cousin for all we know. Anyway, Nevarra's succession isn't part of DAI's plot and Marcus isn't dead yet.

I know that, but the entry seems to be that meant that the Van Markham are still related to the royal bloodline.
Yes, the plot isn't relevant to DAI, and I honestly don't think Cass will ever be involved with it.

Markus might die in DAI by the Inquisitor indirectly. (MOTA reference lol)
I wonder if Mage Necromancer Inquisitor will have any connection to Mortalitasi/Pentaghast.

Yeah, I have read that before as well. I don't see her as the type that wants to become queen anyway.

But she does seem that type that might put her feelings aside, if it means she can help her nation. She is all about order and wanting peace, so if her beign queen would guarantee peace in Nevarra, then I'm sure she would do it.

Does she even see Nevarra as "her nation" though? She has spent the majority of her life serving the Divine in Orlais.

I wish we got a side quest to help decide the Nevarran debacle. Hopefully their will be a DLC like MOTA where we travel to Nevarra.

I'd honestly hope for an expansion if we'll go to Nevarra.

Fo real though, I think Nevarra would be a really interesting place, especially Cumberland.

Nevarra would also be a place to touch on more Tevinter stuff.. Out of all the  areas around free marches, it seems to have the closest history with them.

Not sure. Seems like Kirkwall's Tevinter roots are in the bones of the past. But still haunts it. Nevarra still has living traditions with roots in Tevinter. The Mortalitasi.
