You're entirely right that she didn't show much of anything. My point is just that when talking about a hypothetical change in character, people shouldn't start from the assumption that a trait someone's never displayed is part of their character because of what basically amount to stereotypical associations (the religious are prejudiced). 

 

I agree. Though I must confess that I had not read your conversion, or Magic's statements, as such. I didn't get anybody was talking about a change in her character. 

I think it comes down to this notion of "the Chantry has particular rules and it is unrealistic to assume people ignore them easily", as discussed before. I personally think that the individual decides, maybe even against all established tradition. But if something isn't shown, one can start from any assumption; either that she's open-minded and ignored the prejudices the Chantry imposes on its followers, or that she is a child of her time and circumstances, acting as is expected of her.

About the swords, I wonder how one would handle a long sword (especially considering BW length). Can't wear a sheath on your hip, because impaired walking. Can't even pull the sword from its sheath alone, because arm too short. I think my elf warrior would always need to ask Cass to pull it out for her.

Then again, BW would have found a way around it (flexible blades that can bend easily, arms that can be extended if necessary etc).

Because there are some really cool pics of cass, but they are also tethraghast. It is the Cassandra thread, and if I see a really nice Cassandra, in a tethraghast pic. Then I see no problem in sharing it. It's not like I do it in every single post I make.

Getting called a troll for having a polite (and interesting) debate with someone in the Tethraghast thread wasn't exactly pleasant. I mean, if I am a troll, I wonder what people who make daily thread on how there are not enough LI for male in DA:I and how the current ones are all ugly and "mannish" are. And at the end, I agree about the "seing different colors" example; where we see blue, you guys see a greenish blue. So, yeah, keep posting your pics, and we'll keep screaming for heresy and blasphemy.

Because that would be even harder. There's no way she could pull it out of any sheath attached to her back. She'd need a stick to extend her arm. Or, again, ask Cass. In any case, it would look awfully silly. Though it might make "incapacitate enemies by making them laugh" a legit skill in her skill tree.

It's alright, we all have bad moods sometimes, and I thought that might be the case. Yeah, I thought the troll comment was bit out of line tbh. Eh, I don't think you're a troll at all, as for the current daily thread, eh a lot of those I blame on two issues.  Some Guy's throwing a tantrum over not getting what they want all the time f, (which is ridiculer over one game), and  the other side sometimes being bitchy even when the complaints are not tantrum in nature.

The Christian bible also has some pretty hardcore and demented rules and morals to follow as well, but the peopel who call themselves Christians aren't any less Christian for not abiding by them.

 

It's not like Cassandra is finding faith in the elven gods or the Old Gods of Tevinter, she still believes the Maker is the one true god in Thedas.

That's half because the majority of those rules are in the old testament. But besides that, you are correct. Though people should remember, all she did was ponder. People act like she just swore allegiance to elven gods.
