If there are no Tranquils in her Circles, how will they sustain themselves?

Hmm I didnt even think about milfs having an age requirement, but I'd say you made the range just barely

And I totally want to go back to DA2 characters. I badly need another broody guy who sits at home for about 5-7 years, drinking wine from the bottle while complaining about his life; his only other hobby being annoyed and jumping at every arguable word ready to fight. 

And in case this sounded a tad too unclear: I loved Fenris, I loved DA2, I loved Hawke, I miss them all.

Cassandra Pentaghast

 

The Pentaghasts along with the Van Markhams have traded rule of Nevarra since the Glory Age. Outside of the kingdom, the Pentaghast name is perhaps best associated with their success as dragon hunters. Cassandra Pentaghast has managed to make a name for herself free of nepotism. Though her connection to the Nevarran throne is distant, her heroics, both as a young Seeker and in the wake of the Breach, have made her a living legend.

 

The daughter of Lord Matthias and Lady Tigana Pentaghast, Cassandra was raised at their estate in the capital city of Nevarra along with her elder brother, Anthony. Lady Tigana held an esteemed position at the Nevarran court as the steward of King Markus–though some claim she was actually his spymaster–and thus the family was affluent even by Pentaghast standards. This standing persisted until 9:10 dragon, when both Lady Tigana and Lord Matthias were implicated, along with at least a dozen other prominent Pentaghasts, in a conspiracy to assassinate King Markus–the second after an earlier attempt at his life by baron Gaulene in 9:08 Dragon.

         

At the time, members of King Markus’ court suggested that the immediate families of the conspirators should also be killed to prevent reprisals from vengeful relatives down the line. The king reluctantly agreed, leading to widespread arrests and executions–a brutal period that has since become known as the Nevarran Purge. In some cases, youths were spared when there was an influential relative to vouch for their behavior. This was how Cassandra and Anthony survived. Vestalus Pentaghast was a senior member of the Mortalitasi mages, which placed him beyond reprisal even though he was the brother of Lord Matthias.

         

Vestalus took in his young niece and nephew as wards. As he was a member of the Mortalitasi, they moved into the Grand Necropolis of Nevarra. They grew up among the dead, isolated with only each other for company and support. Vestalus found less and less time for the children as he became prelate of the Mortalitasi in 9:12 Dragon, and thus overseer of the entire Grand Necropolis. In these lonely years in the crypts, Anthony embraced swordsmanship, already dreaming of taking up dragon hunting, and Cassandra did the same.

         

“I assure you my sister and I are both just fine,” Anthony wrote to a cousin. “Uncle Vestalus may be distant, but he sees that we’re looked after and has even sponsored my training. Cassie swears she’ll follow in my footsteps. She wants the two of us to hunt dragons as a pair, and even though she’s so much younger, I don’t doubt she’ll catch up. I know you joke about her ‘playing with swords,’ but what else is she supposed to do in the necropolis? Have tea parties with the corpses? She has no one her own age to associate with. Uncle rarely takes us out. At best she has Nomi to keep her busy at the chantry. But that can’t be her entire life."Over the next years, Anthony did indeed become an adept dragon hunter. He joined a cadre of relatives eager to resurrect the Pentaghast tradition, eventually taking part in three separate hunts. The last was the least successful, by virtue of the group unexpectedly facing two high dragons at once, but Anthony was especially noteworthy in that he not only survived the encounter but killed one of the dragons himself.

 

By 9:16 Dragon, Anthony’s prowess had become great enough that he attracted the attention of a group of apostates. They believed they could use him to acquire dragon blood for an unknown ritual, and when he refused, they killed him in front of Cassandra. Horrified and enraged by the lack of justice when those apostates could not be tracked down, she begged her uncled to sed her to train with the templars. Instead, she was sent to the Seekers of Truth.

 

"I know of your concern that my niece, even at the tender age of twelve, is too old to begin training with the Seekers,” Vestalus wrote to the Order. “I would contend, however, that her training is already quite advanced, even by your standards. It is my fault she has had no social upbringing of note. Instead, her time has been devoted to the chantry here in the necropolis, and following in the footsteps of her brother. She is devout and determined and has skills that will surpass even the best of your pupils; of this I assure you.”

         

Cassandra began her Seeker training at the fortress of Montsimmard, where the majority of the focus was on her religious rather than martial education. This was initially a source of frustration for her, but eventually she embraced her studies and excelled. She underwent her vigil at the age of fifteen, at a remote castle in the Blasted Hills of northern Orlais–the youngest Seeker to do so since the Storm Age. Left alone for weeks to meditate, purge herself of all emotion, and achieve a state of pious bliss, she emerged from the castle reborn as member of the Order.

 

Her apprenticeship began under a senior member named Seeker Byron, who died while still her mentor in the events of 9:22 Dragon. An attempt to overthrow the Chantry leadership by murdering Divine Beatrix III–a plot involving Knight-Commander Martel of the templars, the senior Grand Cleric Callista, and a blood mage named Frenic–culminated in an all-out assault upon the Grand Cathedral in Val Royeaux by a group of magically controlled dragons, since called “Day of Dragons” or “Day of Black Skies”. Cassandra was instrumental in thwarting the plot, and true to her family name, putting down the dragons. SHe was publically declared a hero by the Divine and awarded with the title of Right Hand, a position previously only awarded to members of the Divine’s elite templar guard.

         

“I cannot explain those events better than I already have,” Cassandra would write in a report to her Seeker superiors. “Yes, I was indeed there when the Grand Cathedral was attacked, and I fought with every ounce of my strength to protect the Divine. Things could have very easily gone differently, however. I was framed for the murder of Lord Seeker Aldren, and had the mage, Galyan, not helped me, I would still be rotting in that cell. Indeed, Galyan and the other Circle mages were instrumental in fighting this plot. It distresses me that their contribution has been overlooked while I have been singled out as a hero. I was willing to die to protect the Most Holy, it’s true, and I almost did die. But fighting against such evil is my sworn duty. Galyan had no such oath to compel him. If it is at all within your power, I would ask that he and his friends be rewarded. The idea that I could have single-handedly slain all those dragons is more than outrageous; it is deceptive, and I will not contribute more to its spread.”

         

For the next several years, Cassandra experienced a degree of notoriety within the Orlesian Empire. She had saved the Divine, and although she did her best to downplay the events on the Day of Dragons, stories of her heroism spread far and wide. Many assumed that Divine Beatrix named Cassandra as Right Hand solely to benefit from her fame, and perhaps there is a degree of truth to that. During those years, Cassandra spent more time acting as bodyguard to the Divine, appearing by her side at public events, than she did pursuing her duty as a Seeker.

         

Talk of the events did eventually quiet, however, as the Orlesian people found new issues with which to concern themselves. The damaged parts of Val Royeaux and the Grand Cathedral were rebuilt, and Cassandra’s cachet as a hero began to dwindle, much to her relief. Many expected that the Divine would eventually release Cassadra as Right Hand, allowing her to return to the Seekers of Truth in full. That didn’t happen. The Divine likely found having an agent who was not a templar too useful, particularly one who had not been a Seeker for so long that her loyalties to them were absolute. Cassandra’s role evolved into that of an agent of the Divine’s will, sent to investigate things that the Divine wished to know–but not through the lens of her Chantry advisors–and enforce the Chantry’s will where needed. It was a role Cassandra appreciated far more than that of an exalted bodyguard.

         

In 9:34 Dragon, Divine Beatrix II died, and Divine Justinia V was elected in her place. Initially Cassandra assumed she would be relieved of her duties. Indeed, those few people close to her say she looked forward to it. The new Divine, however, had ideas to reform many aspects of the Chantry. For this, Justinia V would encounter opposition both within and well beyond Chantry leadership. What the new Divine needed more than anything was agents she could trust. She made her pitch to Cassandra, who, intrigued, accepted.

         

Soon after, Cassandra received an unsigned letter, marked with a nightingale and now believed to be written by Leliana, the new Divine’s Left Hand.

         

“I know that the Most Holy has spoken to you, Cassandra,” the letter stated. “She wishes you to be her Right hand, to serve her as you did the Divine before. What she considers is necessary, yet dangerous. There are those who do not see the danger before us. They will say her efforts destroy everything we believe in. Justinia believes the opposite. She thinks everything we believe in shall be destroyed if it does not change. I know there is at least a part of you that feels the same. My own agents have watched as you perform your duties. You pursue your missions for the Seekers with less vigor than you once did. You question more often, show compassion that would get you in trouble if they knew of it, and you rage at the injustice that has become more and more obvious to those of us with eyes. I welcome the opportunity for us to work together in what shall surely be our most trying hours.”

    

For years, Cassandra was kept busy in her duties under the new Divine. She investigated both public and secret threats to the authority of the Chantry, including the events at Kirkwall. As the situation between the Templar Order and the Circle of Magi turned to rebellion and then chaos, Cassandra redoubled her efforts, only to lose Divine Justinia V entirely in the destruction of the Temple of Sacred Ashes.

         

Together with Leliana, she helped found the Inquisition shortly thereafter–not as its leader but its backbone, defying the rest of the Chantry as she did so. There are so who claim she is ultimately responsible for rooting out the true villain behind Justinia’s death and helping the Inquisitor to destroy him. She would not claim the same, but it is fair to say that Cassandra Pentaghast’s legacy will not be quickly forgotten.

We have been talking about sex for almost three months now, it's not like I'm new to the thread. Don't insult my intelligence. 

 

I don't have a problem with talking about sex. In fact, I've supported it above a lot of things brought up in this thread in its early days before release, because it is one of the most natural things a person can do. That said, we talk about it all the ****** time here, oral's been brought up a lot in the past few weeks. We even teased with eating ass for a page. It doesn't make me feel uncomfortable, it's just silly, to quote the BSN savior, and boring. 

 

That you seem to think we've been talking about sex (and nothing but sex) for the past 3 months is pretty telling. I can count all of the conversations that have been had on the matter on one hand.

I definitely said that. Oh wait, I didn't. What I said is that we talk about it all the time, and we do, more than just about any other topic. It's my fault for clicking on this thread expecting more variety.
