Also, the baby in that picture is... Fat, for lack of another term. Fat, and with terribly scrawny legs. The proportions on that baby are weird.

I dislike babies. I think I'd prefer to RP the Inquisitor and Cassandra adopting kids orphaned by the mage/templar war over her giving birth, because seriously, babies are vile and disgusting.

A lot of babies are fat. They don't do anything. It pretty much drips off them once they start crawling and walking.

And babies are not vile and disgusting.

No, they're vile and disgusting. And terrifyingly ugly. I've never seen a baby that was "cute" so much as it was just uncomfortable to look at.

Chubby is one thing, but the baby in that picture looks oddly proportioned. It has a fat torso, a big head, and tiny limbs. I've never seen a baby that looked like that. I mean, it's a drawing and not totally representative of reality, but it still just looks odd.

There can be some.....not so cute babies out there. But most I have seen are cute. I'm tempted to post a picture of my daughter. She was and still is cute.

Why do you think they are vile and disgusting?

"Vile and disgusting" was hyperbole, but I am not at all looking forward to having kids. Between the s***ting and the crying, that's one part of life I don't want to take part in. The actual grossness combined with the stress of raising a newborn and not being able to sleep peacefully ever again turns me off of the whole idea. I'd be fine with adopting (personally, I'd rather give a home to a child who otherwise wouldn't have his/her own than make one), but I will not purposely make a woman pregnant.

Eh, each to their own.

I think adopting is a good idea, too. It's always something I have pondered. But I was raised around that sort of thing. My parents used to take in a lot of kids when I was younger.

It's just a sketch but I do agree about the scrawny legs. And Ican't believe you find them vile. They are so sweet and precious and da'ww and when they start trying to crawl for the first time..(so kwaii)

If cass had a baby I'm sure it would have a little toy sword and shield!

That's a touch choice. On the one hand, I adore Cassie Cage and think she's the best new character in Mortal Kombat, but on the other hand, I detest young children. Maybe if she just sort of came out as a 10 year old and we could skip the whole diapers and kindergarten phases.

If he ever had one of his own, I'm sure his opinion would change.

That's a good one. I almost laughed.

I still think that Cassandra would be open to the idea of children, and would even desire the idea in some respects. It's not that she wants children for the sake of having children. I doubt that the idea of children was something she ever gave any great deal of thought to, especially after joining the Seekers. I doubt she even like it was a loss. Having children would be nothing but a distraction for her at the time. But I think that, as a romantic, the idea of having a child with the man she loves would have a certain appeal to her, and there's no denying that the world after the Breach is far different than the one that she lived in before. There's no Templar Order to tell her that she can or cannot have children and still keep her position in the Seekers.

Unless she's Divine. Then it is debatable. Can't have scenes like this happening:

*early one morning, Cassandra scarcely into her 'condition', as the faithful gather in Val Royeux to hear Divine Victoria read from the Chant*

Revered Mother #1: Most Holy, do you feel unwell?

Victoria: *shakes her head, looks dizzy* No, let's get this over with.

Revered Mother: #2: But Most Holy, you look so pale...

Victoria: I said I am FINE. *sags slightly, regains her bearing* Now, what must I read this morning?

Revered Mother #1: We felt that the Canticle of Beros would be most appropriate. It is a small reading, but-

Victoria: Yes, yes, I know it. Let's do this now. Come.

*Victoria emerges on the balcony overlooking the crowd*

Victoria: Blessed be Andraste.

Crowd: Bride of our Maker, hear our prayer.

Victoria: "The Maker is my light, I shall not- *promptly pukes all over the crowd below.*

Crowd: *disguised noise*

Cassandra would have some pretty odd pregnancy cravings. Odd even for pregnant women. The vilest, most terrifying food combinations imaginable.

"As the boy grew into a commandeering, charismatic, fair minded and powerful young man under the tutelage of his father, fears over the fate of the Inquisition after His Worship, the Herald of Andraste, leaves this valley of tears for the confort of the Maker's bosom dwindled. Rumours, however, claim Orzammar is threatening to cut off ties with the Inquisition on the basis the heir apparent treats with them on the assumption that all dwarves are liars.

The identity of the boy's mother remains a mystery. Over the years, many scholars have pointed out clues such as the fact that, altough the young lord has inherited his father's blue eyes and fair countenance, he is black of hair thus hinting at a mother from Nevarra or Tevinter; less attention is paid to the fact the boy is known for producing guttural sounds whenever in the presence of something he finds disgusting.

The disappearance of Divine Victoria I; her own past with the Inquisition being common knowledge; for months before our Lord Inquisitor announced to the world he had fathered a child has been officially deemed to be entirely unrelated and dignitaries eager to bring her Most Holy or the Inquisition low have long since learned not to suggest it in front of our Divine for fear of being punched in the face.
